This was my first month receiving The Match Up and I was impressed with the box design. Inside the box, my product selections were packed in a nice white drawstring bag. This is a thoughtful touch and I prefer reusable packaging wherever possible.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This month I went with a thermal protection spray and two products to bring some shine back to my hair.

Get Heated Thermal Protect Hair Mist – 4 fl oz, value: $14

I'm always looking for a good spray to protect my hair from heat. This spray says that it not only protects hair during heat styling but also leaves hair silky and shiny plus moisturizes damaged hair. This product smelled like hair spray, which isn't the fragrance I usually go for. I didn't notice any changes in the condition of my hair after using so it's hard to tell how well it worked.

TheMatchup-016

Shining Armor Renewing Treatment Oil – 1.69 fl oz, value: $15

I applied this to my damp hair and noticed my hair was silkier and smoother after drying. I have naturally straight hair, but usually still run a straightener over it quickly just to smooth things out. After using this oil, my hair dried so nicely I only had to fix the ends of my hair that turned out instead of in.

TheMatchup-013

On The Bright Side Color Illuminating Shine Spray – 1.7 fl oz, value: $15

I have shoulder length, easily oily hair so I had to be careful not to spray too much of this! A light mist (staying away from my roots) was all I needed. It definitely added a nice shine to my hair and made my color look nice and bright. Since I only need to use a little, this is going to last a long time and help spruce up my look between color appointments!

Verdict: I really liked the products that helped add life and shine to my hair from this month's Match Up. The heat protection spray was a miss for me due to the hairspray smell but I'm pleased with the other items I picked out.
