Bullymake Box is a monthly subscription box for power chewers. You all have heard about (and seen) some of Nyx’s exploits with plush toys from dog subscription boxes so when I heard about this one, I had to sign up immediately. Nyx is definitely a power chewer! You pick your dog’s weight in 10-pound increments so this is a box for an 80-pound dog (Nyx weighs about 84 right now).
My Subscription Addiction paid for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
The Subscription Box: Bullymake Box
The Cost: $39 a month (save with 3, 6, and 12 month subscriptions)
COUPON: Save $5 off your first box by joining their mailing list (it is a pop-up when I visit the site).
The Products: Toys and treats specifically tailored for heavy chewing dogs (no plushes). You can also choose a “toys only” box. Because of Nyx’s dietary issues, I went with the “toys only” box. You can also enter specific allergy information in a box on the checkout screen.
Ships to: USA (free!)

Because Bullymake Box is customized based on your dog’s size, not every item will be the same. But, the information card lists one of the items you will receive.
Jolly Pets Jolly Tuff Toppler – Value $8.10
Petsport Mojo Survivor Cherry Treat Ball – Value $8.99
I’m talking about these two together because they are quite similar, it’s just that the treats come out the top hole in the red one and out the bottom hole in the pink one. The pink one is supposed to have a cherry flavor but it smells like rubber with a hint of fruit to me. Maybe it smells different to Nyx? I have recently found that I can put just a little of Nyx’s food (she has to eat wet food) along the inside of the cavities in these and they suddenly become much more interesting.
Petsport Twisted Chews Medium Three Knot Cotton Rope (17”) – Value $9 (?)
Nyx loves rope toys. We are holding off on playing with this one for a bit because she has a scab on her lower lip that soft toys and rope toys seem to reopen. Hopefully she will be better by next week, though! (I can’t find this exact item online so I am estimating the value based on other three knot rope toys of similar length.)
Indestructible Ball by Softflex – Value $10.99
So far Nyx has not destroyed this, but I think it is because there are no parts for her to grab onto and/or gnaw (that is her preferred strategy – going after ears, tails, feet, etc.). There are some reviews on Amazon that suggest this is not 100% indestructible, but of course you should always supervise your dog with a new toy.
Irresistiball by Pet Qwerks, Inc. – Value $9.99
Another treat ball. There were a lot of treat-dispensing toys this month. They work for a lot of dogs, but are not the best for Nyx since she can’t have many treats. But, she does get excited about them if I put some of her wet food inside.
I put some of Nyx’s food in this and she enjoyed it immensely. After a bit, it was coated with saliva and it became very slippery. But, she had a lot of fun so that’s OK.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $47.07 for the July 2016 Bullymake Box. This box consistently comes in with a value over the cost of the subscription. I also like the customization and getting only toys and no treats due to Nyx’s dietary issues. The toys are size appropriate and really are more durable than the toys you get with some other boxes. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was getting so many (three!) treat dispensing toys this month, although I appreciate it is probably difficult to find so many durable toys, month after month – we have never gotten a repeat. Overall, though, I am happy with the value and the quality and durability of the toys.
What do you think of the July 2016 Bullymake Box? Do you subscribe to any dog or cat boxes?
