This box comes shipped in a really nice box. It's the little things sometimes! It's a drawer pull out box, and came in a clear mailing envelope. The design of the box is really pretty too!
I received biodegradable tea bags to use with the loose leaf tea. I really appreciate the fact that they include a way to steep the loose leaf tea, in case their subscribers don't have access to a tea steeper.
This month, I also received six honey sticks to use with my tea and a spoon to measure the tea out.
Organic Moroccan Mint Blended Tea
This is a blend of peppermint and gunpowder green tea. It smells very strongly of mint when you first open it. The taste was great; very minty and the green tea came through lightly. This would be an excellent iced tea for the summer with some simple syrup to sweeten (if that's your thing), some berries muddled in the bottom, and a ton of ice! (It's 113 this week here...winter come quickly.) This is a low caffeine tea.
Anji White Tea
I've always wanted to try white tea but I didn't realize it was made from green tea. This is a single origin green tea, and the flavors are kumquat, bamboo shoot, and chestnut. I am never sure how they come up with the flavors, because to me it doesn't taste like any of those! There was a slight citrus zing, but that's about it. This would also be an excellent iced tea and is low caffeine.
Mixed Berry Blast
This is an herbal tea, with no caffeine. The ingredients are: cranberries, hibiscus, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, black currants, raspberry, and strawberry flavoring. If you've tried the Starbucks "Pink Drink" that's been all the rage, I think this would be a great tea to make that at home with some coconut milk, berries, and sweetener of choice.
Here are the three teas I received, out of the bag. From the left it is: Anji White Tea, Mixed Berry Blast, and Moroccan Mint.
Verdict: I really love this box every month. First of all, the packaging is top notch, and I could tell that the tea was very high quality. Since the tea is fresh, it can be steeped more than once. Rosali Tea says that the 2 ounces of tea I received should brew 30 initial cups, with the possibility to re-brew the leaves. I don't think I personally will get 30 cups out of the tea, but it is a good amount of tea.
As far as the value goes, I definitely found the value of the tea worth the $19.95 price. Loose leaf tea can be very pricey, and many times if you purchase from the store the tea isn't as fresh as it could be. Plus, the only loose leaf place around me is a very popular one that you're probably thinking of, and I don't always like their artificial flavors, so this is a great alternative!
Have you tried Rosali Tea yet? I think you should!
