The box came with an information card detailing the items for June. The theme was “Farmer’s Market.”
Aloe Jelly in Cucumber + Cranberry (2 oz) – Value $62
This item is exclusive to the box so I took the value from the information card. It seems like a lot of money for 2 oz of an indie skincare product! But, I am never too worried about inflated values with Orglamix because you do always get more than your money’s worth. This is a clear jelly that is moisturizing, cooling, and a little bit toning. It smells mostly like cucumber to me.
This is a good scent and texture for summer and oiliness, and I have found it good to apply to inflamed/chafed skin. You could also use it on sunburns.
Blueberry Micellar Water – Value $12
This has a definite blueberry scent. I like it, though it’s strong. I like to keep micellar water around. When I don’t get all my mascara off and I end up with raccoon eyes after washing my face, a bit of micellar water on a cotton ball is all it takes to remove the pigment.
Perfume Palette in “Fresh Picked Fruit” – Value $21
This is also pretty fruity. It’s watermelon, green apple, and blackberry, and can be mixed or blended. These are fun scents for summer. I don’t have too many solid perfumes in my collection yet so they don’t duplicate anything I already have. (There are always scent or aromatherapy products in the Orglamix box.)
Pure Mineral Blush in “Strawberry Jam” – Value $18
This color is exclusive to the box. This is super shimmery. The swatch below is with a couple of passes across my arm to get it to show up. I think it would even work as a highlighter on me with just a dusting of color.
Pure Mineral Eyeshadow in “Juicy Peach” – Value $12
This color is also exclusive to the box. It’s fairly shimmery, as well, but it’s a neutral color that I am likely to get a lot of use out of. I love the formula of Orglamix shadows, they just go on very smoothly and are quite pigmented. I would probably use this with a primer like Too Faced Glitter Glue or something similar.
Here are swatches of the eyeshadow (top) and blush (bottom).
Verdict: I calculated a value of $125 for the June Orglamix subscription box. I did have to rely on values they provided on the information card for all the items, so take that value with a grain of salt. I certainly think the value was much greater than the $29 price of the subscription. If you like the idea of getting exclusive or new products and are into loose pigment and aromatherapy/indie fragrances, this is a fun subscription that always has a good value.
