MC3

Dove Men + Care Extra Fresh Anti-Perspirant - $3.10

I have a confession - during the summer, I use Dove's Extra Fresh spray on antiperspirant.  I can't stand the way the ladies lines smell, so I just get the guy's stuff.  So, obviously, I like the scent of this.  My husband uses Dove products as well, so he will definitely make use of this.

Dove Men + Care Clean Comfort Body and Face Wash - $5.49

This smells great, and seems to do a good job as a body wash.  I don't think I would ever use this on my face (though my husband definitely will, he probably won't note the difference between this or any other soap).  It does have very good reviews on Target's website!

Dove Men + Care Sensitive Shave Gel - $4.79

I stole this, since my husband is picky about his shaving cream.  I really like the formula, and I find that it is very moisturizing.  It is not heavily scented, and it provides for a nice shave.  I will definitely use the rest of this!

MC4

Colgate Max Fresh with Breath Strips - $4.19

I like this toothpaste, and this is my preferred vehicle for the toothpaste.  Tubes can get so messy, and for some reason this bottle doesn't get as messy.  There's not a lot to be said about toothpaste, so I'll end my comments there!

Colgate Max Fresh Toothbrush - $2.91

I've used these toothbrushes in the past, and I like them.  It has a tongue scraper on the back, which is nice...again there's not a lot to be said about toothbrushes!

Q-tips Cotton Swabs - $3.21

This is a 30 pack of Q-tips, which would be perfect for travel, or just using throughout the month.

MC5

Conceited Cowboy Socks - $8.00?

I can't find these socks online, and the website for the brand is currently down.  With that said, they are decent socks.  The quality is somewhere between Happy Socks, and the Merona brand you can find at Target.  I like the pattern, and I will probably steal these from my husband for use under boots in the winter!

Milwaukee Shockwave 24 Piece Drill Bit Set - $17.25

This is a super handy item to include in a men's subscription box (or even a women's subscription box to be honest - everyone uses tools every now and again!).  This set has 24 bits, and comes in a handy carrying case.  My husband was excited to see this included.

Verdict:  This particular shipment from the Morning Club would cost around $17.00 - my package doesn't have all of the items listed in the Dove box, so I am not 100% sure.  Either way, the drill bit set I received covers the cost of the box already, so everything else is just a bonus for this box!  The value of the box in total is about $48.94 - which is really good.  I can see the appeal of this box for anyone that doesn't want to go buy their own toiletry items, and the fact that you can choose specific brands to go in your box is excellent.  I think this box is really a great concept for a men's subscription box.

Have you tried Morning Club yet?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

I actually do like the women’s Dove scents, but that may be because they are the only deodorant that doesn’t give me a rash so they are the only deodorant scents I know.

This is the closest men’s sub I’ve seen to what my husband would like, but I’m not sure even this would work for him. He — gasp — actually uses hand soap to wash his face…so a cleanser would be lost on him. Oh well.

The other thing that I thought was pretty neat about the sub is there are different boxes (with different brands) that you can choose from. For example; my husband likes Old Spice stuff and prefers to have an all in one shampoo/soap and they have a box that features that brand and that particular item that he likes (for a little bit more than this particular box). The only additional thing he wouldn’t use would be shave gel, but I’d happily take that.

Just can’t get past the shipping, makes the value go down IMO.

But anyone who is really interested in this and is looking for a different variety or brand should really check out their website, it’s pretty impressive.

This is actually something that would be really great for my husband because he’s terrible about buying his toiletries and then waits until he’s been out for 3 days before telling me so I can grab it for him next time I’m out (I actually now buy extra of stuff so there’s always something in the cupboard). The value also seems to really be there.

My problem – I hate, HATE, subs that charge shipping. 🙁

Especially $10 shipping! How much could the box possibly weigh? I’m typically okay with a small shipping charge (under $5), but that seems to really take from the value of the box for me.
