It’s nice to see some higher value items this month…but another print :(. It seems like a good box, I’m hoping to get it this week!

  1. I really wish that Loot Crate and others would send some text in their spoiler and other such messages where they usually just send images. As a blind subscriber, I get an email with a subject line that gets my anticipation up and then find a mostly blank message, at least to me. Very frustrating. Not a really big deal, just a small bummer instead of the promised bonus info.

I just cannot agree with you more about the prints. After being a subscriber to various boxes since 2014, I have enough things to hang on my wall to decorate a dozen houses. I am sick enough of posters and prints that I consider them a negative when rating a box’s contents. If something that is meant to be displayed on the walls is included, I think it needs to be creative and different. I like the couple of metal signs and sculptures I have received, I love the item you can display on the wall from Nerd Block this month, things like that. IMO, in a premium box like LC-DX, if wall decorators that are just print art are included, they should be small, high quality, matted and perhaps even framed. Premium, not to the point of being the majority of the value of the box, but nice enough to not be something I would expect in the regular Loot Crate. I wouldn’t mind something I could send off for with the option of free, with just matting, or the option of paying a bit for appropriate framing.

OK, bigger rant built up there than I had realized. I don’t expect perfection, even out of a premium box, but I expect the least of items to be a real step up from the usual, even if the item isn’t right for me and my personal fandom.
