The box came with a booklet that told me more about the products included with tips on how to use them. The rest of the booklet recommends other beauty products sold by Look Fantastic plus a giveaway for a free L'Oreal Brazil Steampod.

This month's theme is Jetsetter:
"This month's box has been packed with holiday treats to get you glowing and radiant in time for your dream vacation."

LFJetsetter-034

Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream 1.69fl oz, Value $4

I am always down for more hand cream. This made my hands feel very silky but the scent was a bit too perfume-y for me.

LFJetsetter-035

Naobay Oxygenating Cream Moisturizing  .75 fl oz, Value $21

This face cream (thanks to Heather for helping me figure out this is for my face)  is made with sesame and sweet almond oils. It has a light citrus smell and I really liked the way it absorbed into my skin. The lotion wasn't too thin and left my skin looking hydrated and not greasy.

LFJetsetter-039

Korres Bergamot Pear Showergel 1.35 fl oz, Value $2

This is a clear shower gel that smells citrusy in the bottle. It lathers lightly on the skin, releasing more fragrance and leaving the skin lightly perfumed. It has a lot of hard to pronounce ingredients but does say that it's contents are 87% natural.

LFJetsetter-041

Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream .2 fl oz, Value $33

This is fancy eye cream that looks thick out of the bottle but thins out instantly when applied and melts into the skin. It's lightly tinted and helped brighten my under eye circles. I'm excited to try this as it's not something I would have tried otherwise - a regular size bottle goes for around $70.

LFJetsetter-036

LFJetsetter-064

Dead Sea Spa Magik Diamond Range BB Cream .5 fl oz, Value $6

I usually assume all BB creams from subs will be too dark for me. This one looked to dark on my wrist, but only just. I used it on my face and it does a nice job of lightly evening out the red areas of my face. My face feels hydrated and firmer. The more I blended it into my face the better it matched my skin tone. I like that it has SPF 15 and I can see myself using this on my more and more frequent no make up days.

LFJetsetter-050

Mr Blanc Teeth Whitening Strips 3 sets, Value $8

These look pretty much like the Crest strips I've been using. Inside the foil pack are two clear strips, one for your top teeth and one for the bottom teeth. These stick best when your teeth are dry and are meant to be left on for 30 minutes. It looks like the regular packs come with 14 sets of strips so you probably need to use them for 14 days straight for the best results.

LFJetsetter-042

TanOrganic Self-Tanning Oil .8 fl oz, Value $9

This travel-sized self-tanning oil is a liquid product. I don't self tan but the product is said to give you glow while keeping your skin moisturized and flake-free. And, if you want a deeper golden shade, you can reapply after about 6-8 hours.

LFJetsetter-010

Elle UK Magazine July 2016 Value $6

The box also came with the July 2016 issue of Elle UK. It's a smaller magazine size than US magazines, which I like. It reminds me of the fancy UK hair magazines my hair stylist gets that I treat as my secret source for the best hair styles.

The Verdict: This box has a value of about $89 dollars which is pretty good for a $22 box. The highest value item is the eye cream, which I'm looking forward to using as my day eye cream. I hope I don't love it too much though, because the full-size is pricey! I really like the shower gel and will be packing it on my summer travels, that is if any is left and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to resist putting this in the shower right now. I was impressed by the BB Cream and look forward to seeing how it holds up to my oily skin. The Cowshed hand cream might be too fragranced for me but I know I'll give it a few more tries because I loved how silky it made my hands feel. Overall, impressed with the value in this box and liked trying new products from brands I hadn't heard of. I wish I'd gotten a full-size item but the travel-sized items do fit with the Jetsetter theme.

I just finished up a six month subscription and am deciding whether or not to renew. I’m glad that MSA will review the sub monthly so that I can decide. I really loved the smaller sized magazine and some of the products are nice. Especially those in the last two monthso. I’m on product overload right buyer!

I’m so glad there is a review up for this box; does this mean we’ll get monthly reviews?
Also, I just signed up for the 6-month subscription, so I hope it’ll be great, because the past boxes look so good – I’d use everything.

Since the pound has lost value you can switch the currency to GBP for a better deal. A single box is 15 GBP which is currently $19.30. With a 12 month subscription you would pay $14.50 (after currency conversation) instead of the $16.50 if you pay directly in USD.

Of course if you switch to GBP you may have to pay foreign transaction fees depending on your bank. And if you get a 12 month subscription there’s a chance the GBP will recover value but I suspect it will take a while before it goes back to where it was before Brexit.

I just received this box and I love it! The box is so cute and the magazine is a nice bonus! I’m very pleased with this, I did do the 12 mos. subscription, so for me it is only $16.50 per month!

I am happy to see this box being reviewed. Emily, great review and I love your photo taking skills!!

I signed up for annual sub back in October, after purchasing a single past box. I saw two ways to pay the annual, lump sum and monthly. I did monthly billing in USD, so even if I used the credit card with foreign transaction fee, they don’t charge the fee. I tried to cancel due to product overload, but the customer service didn’t let me due to the “contract” I have with them. I have been happy overall for this box, so I am ok with it. If you do annually, the cost will come down to close to Allure, like other reader mentioned.

If you want to see the reviews of past boxes to get a good idea, a couple of UK bloggers review this box regularly. Here is my 2 cents: this is a skincare/body care/hair care heavy box with occasional of make up items. And you will see repeated brands such as Caudalie, Nuxe, Balance Me, Ren, etc. (I like all these brands, so fine by me) and some tools. I received 2 Wet brushes in a year (regular and mini) and some kind of small brush with key ring… I have received false lashes, make up brushes, vitamin tablets, etc. and they do mix drugstore brands time to time. This is just my guess, but I haven’t so we won’t probably receive perfumes, nail polishes and anything in aerosol can, due to the shipping restrictions from the UK. We also receive minor variations, but within the same product such as different scents of body wash or different brushes.

They started throwing in the magazine in March or so. I think it is a nice touch and I browse the magazine, but I would prefer another product or larger size product in exchange. For example, this month, Korres body wash was the most inexpensive product, so it would be nice to get a size like Klorane shampoo from Allure box. I am sure it is adding to the cost of shipping, so…

Their box is very sturdy like Glossybox. It is about the same dimension, but a little deeper. I just reorganized my stash (ugh) by category and am using to store my samples for easy access. Hope this helps a little!

This looks like a nice box. I’m still deciding what to do with Birchbox (and I did sign up for Sephora)………I really don’t need three sample-sized beauty boxes a month; maybe I’ll think about this one if I end up dumping BB.

So happy to see a review for this box. It is my third month subscribing and it has quickly become a favourite. The past two months have also included a bonus item. The sizes are usually really good and the brands are fun to try….lots of different ones! I would definitely recommend this subscription 🙂

OK, I just signed up for the yearly deal, and I was billed for one month at a time. While signing up I also noticed there was an option to sign up for the same deal, but you had to pay the whole amount upfront. So just be careful how you sign up. With the foreign transaction charge, that’s usually determined by your credit card. My credit card does not charge any foreign transaction fees, so no fee for me!!! Great deal!! thanks Liz.

Thank you for finally doing a review for this box! It’s currently my favourite. I hope to seem more reviews in the future!

I have a 3-month subscription to this box. I’ve liked it alright, and they do only charge per month, and not a lump sum (for the 3-month at least, don’t know about annual). I liked last month’s box much better, which included a brush. I liked this box less because it didn’t include a beauty product, which is what I liked about the past boxes and made me subscribe in the first place.

Have to say, $89 is a fantastic value for $22. (Not just “good”, sorry). This looks great!

Thanks a lot another box I have too subscribe too lol

Amanda

This box looks like fun. Nice products and it’s from the UK which adds a little something special. If I end up canceling Sephora Play I might get this, but otherwise I’m trying to avoid overdoing it on subscription boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Kara

I was also thinking of dropping Play! in exchange for this sub. Very tempting!!!!

Ditto

Amanda

It’s super tempting. I just replaced Birchbox with Allure Beauty Box and I think there may be some overlap in the brands between Allure/Sephora. But then it looks like there’s also some overlap with Look Fantastic. I can justify two boxes but not three so this one will just happen if I cancel Sephora!

Jen

I just laughed out loud at the “cow pat” hand cream being too perfumy!

On a more serious note… The eye cream and the NAOBAY are already two of my favorites, and everything else looks great. Overall, this looks like a fantastic box. I’m going to have to add them to my wishlist.

I love this box. This is my third month and though there have been a couple products I don’t use, I am still getting value. The eye cream is great and last month Vichy cream was another stellar buy. Worth it so far.

Taya

I didn’t like this month’s box, but loved all my previous ones. I’m ready for next month’s lol

This looks really interesting! Does anyone know where I could see past boxes? I’m tempted to try the annual sub – but that is a scary commitment for me! I have sub box trust issues.

Here is a link to all their previous boxes: http://www.lookfantastic.com/brands/beauty-box/previous-boxes.list

Very helpful! Thanks, Liz!!

Great review! This box looks great and is really tempting especially with the yearly subscription. Surprisingly, the yearly subscription isn’t a lump payment but 12 monthly payments of $16.50 each. Too bad both the 15% off discount codes advertised on the site do not apply to any of the subscription boxes.

If there is no tax or foreign merchant credit card processing fee, this is comparable to what I pay for the Allure Beauty Box. ($16.31 per month after tax)

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I did do an annual subscription, and I was charged a lump sum with a foreign merchant credit card processing fee (I think it was only around $5). I think I remember reading somewhere on their site it would (or could?) be charged in monthly payments, but I don’t recall seeing an option (monthly payments vs. lump sum), and I just signed up like normal and was charged a lump sum. I didn’t mind though. However, I’ve read that others are only charged monthly with the annual sub, so I’m not sure how the difference in charges occurs.

Reply ButtonReply

Traci Rhein

I looked at their site but I’m not seeing where it specifically says “no lump sum”. I would love to make monthly payments at a lower rate I just want to make sure my card isn’t billed in a lump sum. Can you elaborate more on how you know this please? Thank you

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

Just remember that if you have a card that doesn’t waive foreign purchase fees, you will pay that fee monthly if you are billed monthly. That would really add to the cost.

traci

I signed up for this box a couple of months ago. Love getting beauty products that I have never heard of before. The magazine is a great bonus. When my 3 month sub expires will most definitely renew.

Ooh, fancy! I like it! I like everything including the mag 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

I loved UK’s smaller sized mags when I lived overseas- they’re the perfect size for throwing in a purse or bag. I always wished that US mags would at least try it out… but not yet anyways

Reply ButtonReply

asagaobalcony

Japan’s fashion mags are starting to offer a “bag size” as well. Hopefully it’s a world-wide trend that will eventually come to the US.

I’m Canadian and subscribed to this box too. I pay $25 which includes shipping which is great! 🙂 I love the variety and that we get to try some products that they may not sell here in North American yet.

I have only tried the Korres body wash so far and love the smell!

Heather Morris

Are you sure the Naobay cream is for the body? I looked on Birchbox’s website and it appears to be for the face. Maybe I’m wrong, who knows!

Reply ButtonReply

Emily Cosnotti

You’re totally right! I just guessed it was a body cream because it didn’t say face on the bottle. Oops.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather Morris

Lol no problem! I’ve had it in my stash for a while and have only used it once, on my face. So I was like “Uh oh…I hope this isn’t a body cream” lol
