The packaging on this box is really top notch – I love the wood-look box! Their website has other month’s box contents, and the value is recently consistently over $70.00. If you’re curious about the contents of previous month’s boxes, I would recommend taking a peek at the slider on the bottom of their website.

One thing to note, and I’m assuming it is because I receive a review box, is that I don’t get the monthly edition of GQ that is usually included. So that is an additional value that you won’t see in my reviews.

The Gentleman’s Box includes a small glossy pamphlet with all of the items you receive in the box detailed, as well as a profile of a featured member. This month the theme is “Our Favorite Father Figures.”

GB3

Something Strong Striped Tie – $30.00

This is a really nice, thicker tie. This is more of a traditional tie shape and size, which makes it perfect for a double windsor knot or another thicker knot. The booklet gives this tie a value of $30.00, which I can’t confirm on the brand’s website since this was made exclusively for this box. The fabric is 100% cotton, and the color is perfect for summer!

Woodchuck USA Wooden Tie Clip – $30.00

This tie bar is made from walnut and steel. I think this is another item that is exclusive to this box, as I cannot find it on the Woodchuck USA site. It seems like it will hold up quite well to regular use and as long as wood stays in style, this can be used year round!

Sock Fancy Socks Green Stripe – $11.00

These are soft, 70% cotton socks. Sock Fancy is it’s own subscription box and they have socks for men and women. They have a reinforced heel and toe, and a two inch band around the top to ensure that they don’t slip down. They’re also supposed to not shrink in the wash. I might give the women’s subscription a try!

GB4

Harry’s Razor – $10.00

Harry’s is a shave club subscription on it’s own, similar to Dollar Shave Club. The razor and blade are on par with Dollar Shave Club quality as well: not the absolute best on the market, but a really great quality for the money you’re spending. I like that it came in it’s own little box – that was a nice touch.

Bonus Item:  LA Fresh Sunscreen Wipes

I received two sunscreen wipes from LA Fresh in this box. These are really easy to throw into your bag or wallet for the day to keep topped up on sunscreen. The scent isn’t overpowering and the wipe seems to do a good job covering my face, neck and hands/lower arms. I’m not sure one of these wipes would cover your whole body if you’re spending the day at the beach, but these are great for farmer’s markets or just an outdoor event.

Verdict: I always think that Gentleman’s Box has a great value each month. The values listed in the booklet can be slightly inflated, but even if you break the cost down by item, you’re spending about $6.25 for each of the four items, with a bonus thrown in. I don’t know anywhere that you can get socks, a tie, a tie bar, and a razor for under $25.00.

This is a nice, monthly top up for accessories and sometimes grooming products. It does lean pretty heavily toward business formal dress with all of the ties and tie bars/collar stays, etc. you’ll receive, but summer is wedding season, so you’ll probably get some use out of the items even if you don’t work in a formal office.

Have you tried Gentleman’s Box yet?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!

  1. I have to say, I love Gentlemans Box. Unfortunately it was a miss for my not so fancy husband and son. It’s consistently a great deal, and fun to open. Maybe when my son steps up his game, we’ll order it again.

  2. Great review! Oh, I’m excited for this one! I wish it had come in time for Father’s Day but my husband will still enjoy it!
