A fold out mini magazine showcases Liberia Jones and her wanderlust that developed a community of travelers, along with a note from the founder Arian Simone about the products and her Slaycation she took for her 35th birthday, which inspired this month’s theme.

6″x8″ Travel Journal with Inspirational Quotes –  $10.00

This travel journal is a part of Eccolo Travel Collection.  The journal is sturdy, has lined paper, with inspirational quotes about traveling.  This will be used to plan future trips and those places on my bucket list that I want to visit.

Kardashian Beauty Take 2 Dry Conditioner (2.6oz) – Value $7.49

This travel size moisturizing dry conditioner with Black Seed Oil, conditions and hydrates limp hair.

Kardashian Beauty Take 2 Dry Shampoo (2.6oz) – Value $7.49

This travel size dry shampoo with Black Seed Oil revives limp hair by absorbing excess oil and grime that can weigh down your hair. I don’t usually use dry shampoo and conditioner on my hair, so I’m going to gift to a friend or swap.

Selfie Stick – $5.99

I don’t own a selfie stick and was happy to see this in the box.  I actual was able to figure it out after two tries and two selfies later.  I love how its lightweight and portable, perfect for your travels.  I was disappointed that the white area where your phone sits was dirty (after a quick cleaning it was good as new).  I look forward to using this on my next adventure.

Rosehip & Hibiscus Moisturizer – four 0.5 oz – value $7.80

This lightweight, moisturizing facial lotion is organic, vegan free, with no artificial fragrances or dyes.  It’s nice they included 4 samples since the sample size is so small. I enjoyed how soft this moisturizer left my skin.

Verdict: The Fun Fly Fabulous “Slaycation” box has a value $38.77, a little above the cost of the box. There isn’t one hero item included in this box, that is seen in most lifestyle boxes, such as PopSugar Must Have Box. I was looking forward to the products since I saw three of the spoilers on Instagram. Upon opening I was surprised that I had seen all the contents of the box minus the 4 lotion samples.  It would have been nice to have the entire Kardashian travel hair kit for our adventures in this box.  The selfie stick and hardcover journal were a lovely addition to the box, as well as the moisturizing facial lotion that will keep our skin smooth and hydrated on our many travels.  The items in the June box fell into the well-curated Slaycation theme. I will enjoy using these products on my next trip and I look forward to more thoughtfully curated boxes from Arian and her team.

  1. You go girlfriend with your Bad Self……. It this box new because I have never seen this yet until your review. Now I am off to their website to check it out. Thanks

    • Beth, it’s new, launched in October 2015. Check back for more monthly reviews ?

  2. Beautiful selfie!! You are working it!!!!! Awesome review…. I love that they gave you the dry shampoo and conditioner… often it is either one or the other.

  3. I like that they really stuck with their theme of slaycation, but overall, this box doesn’t impress me. Like someone mentioned, it’s missing the “wow” factor. Plus, I wish their boxes were valued more. Some of their first boxes had a much higher value, but after the past several months, the value of each box has started to decline. People are paying for the box to not only get a wow factor, but to get a great deal. To me, it just doesn’t cut it. I really hope that their next few boxes improve. I as well as a few others have already cancelled our subscriptions to this box.

  4. Cute selfie!!

  5. I love your smile! Beautiful 🙂 thank you for a great review!

  6. I love what their trying to do but I feel like the price doesn’t justify the items received. I canceled my sub about 2 boxes ago.Hopefully they’ll keep improving and I’ll go back. You did a great review!!

  7. That’s why I check this website everyday to see reviews of boxes I’ve never seen before! Thank you for this review! When I heard the word “fly” in the name of this box I had to check it out. I’ll be keeping my eye on this box as I agree with others it needs a few more quality items to tempt me to subscribing. I was thinking previously it would be nice to see a lifestyle box that had women of color in mind or at least was featured. I’m glad to have found this box review.

    • Maya, I’m glad you found the review helpful; hopefully future boxes will have more of a “wow” factor and higher value. Keep checking back!

  8. What is with the kardashian products all of the sudden? I have to say I have no interest in anything kardashian, this just turns me off of any box that includes the low quality products/name.

    • I completely agree with you!

  9. This box doesn’t have that I need it wow factor, thanks for reviewing it though.
