Ecocentric Mom recently released one-time-purchase mystery boxes! Their regular subscriptions offer a Mom/Woman box, Mom & Baby Box, and a Pregnancy box, and these mystery boxes also had those same variations.

This is a review of the Mom & Baby Mystery Box.

FYI – as I am writing this review, there appears to be one Pregnancy box available left.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 1

Tangie Stain Remover Bar – sample, value: $2?

This stain remover is a bar made with coconut oil, grapeseed oil, soap nuts liquid, oxalic acid, sea salt, citric acid, and lemon essential oil. I’m excited to use it – I’m always on the hunt for the best new stain removers! I haven’t used it yet but I’m excited to try it out on my laundry today.

MooGoo Nappy Balm - 0.21 oz, value: $1

This is a diaper cream – I love that it’s made with really good ingredients for baby. So far I think it works quite well. I’m glad to have found this, too.

MooGoo Anti-Aging SPF 15 Face Cream - .21 oz, value: $2.82

This is an interesting moisturizer! It’s not white or clear – it’s more like a tan color. Their website says this is because they use natural antioxidants and natural SPF like red raspberry seed oil which is bright red. I like the feel of this, though. It’s thick but spreads well.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 2

Here’s a look at the reverse side of the stain remover bar packaging that has a little bit more info for you.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 3

Enlightened Crisps – 1 oz, value: $1.41

These are interesting! They’re roasted broad beans. They’re crunchy and salty and actually taste pretty good! Honestly, they may even be a little too salty for my taste, so I think they’d be great added to salads or in a snack mix. But I never knew about these, and they are only 100 calories a package with good protein and fiber. Interesting!

Crispy Green Crispy Fruit, mango - 0.36 oz, value: $1.25

I don’t personally care for mango, so I gave this pack of freeze-dried mango to my sister-in-law to try. She liked it and said it was a good snack.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 4

MammaChia Cherry Beet Chia Squeeze Vitality Pack – 3.5 oz, value: $1.56

This little packet is full of lots of good things for you, but I just can’t stand the flavor of beets! I tried it, I think just knowing it’s in there is enough to make this hard for me to like, haha. It seems handy and convenient, though! I could see it being a great on-the-go or post-workout snack!

Mattole Valley Naturals Plant Protein, Vanilla – 1 oz, value: $3.50

This protein powder is raw, vegan, all-natural, and made with whole-grain sprouted brown rice. Sounds great – I can’t wait to add this to my smoothies!

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 5

Thumb Things Fair Trade Finger Puppets, Monkey – value: $5

This is cute – I don’t have any finger puppets for my son yet. He thought this was hilarious when I played with him with it!

Natalie Therese Key Chain Pouch – value: $14

This pouch is very sturdy and interesting. I like it – it’s perfect for packing light or just running into the store. It works great for cash and cards.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 6

Green Gaia Essentials Organic Sleepy Time Foot Rub – 1 oz, value: $15

This is another product I’m loving since getting my box. This foot rub has organic ingredients like coconut oil, chamomile, lavender oil, beeswax, and valerian root to help you relax naturally and fall asleep. Plus, you can use it on your baby!

Green Gaia Essentials Detoxifying Clay Mask – 1 oz, value: $10

This mask is supposed to be good for pore-minimizing, anti-wrinkle, evening skin tone, and fighting acne. I have tried a few clay masks before and like them alright. This is one you have to mix up yourself – it’s a powder that you add water to and it dries on your face, and then you wash it off.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 7

Konserve Food Kozy Reusable Snack Bag – value: $3.95

I’ve been collecting little reusable bags like this for throwing snacks in my diaper bag and my husband’s lunch boxes for work. This one is great for things like grapes, sandwiches, bagels, etc, and is easy to clean and dries quickly.

Ecover Dishwasher Tablet – value $.07

This dishwasher tablet is made with plant-based and mineral ingredients and is a biodegradable, phosphate-free formula. I’m excited to try this – the price seems great, too. The full-size is $3.99 for 45 tablets.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 8

Baby Gear Bandana Bib – value: $4.75

These “bibdanas” are made with organic cotton and are really soft and absorbent. These are really cute on babies and also a total life saver when it comes to drooling and teething!

Child’s Play Pocket Pals Books in Bunny and Puppy – value: $1.99 each, $4 total

These tiny books are cute. Right now my son enjoys chewing on them more than flipping the pages, but they’re easy to toss in your bag.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 9

Sweater Stone – value: $5.99

This pumice stone is designed to remove pills from fabric! I tried it on a sweater of mine and it works great! Two things to point out, though: it may tend to snag visible seams, and it also is a little gritty so it can leave little black crumbs on the surface of the fabric and whatever you’re de-pilling on. It works fine to bat them off the sweater/garment, but it’s a bit of a pain. I think it’s worth it, though. This is a great discovery.

GoodLight Natural Birthday Candles – value: $2.99

These are paraffin-free, vegan candles, and made with 100% palm wax. I think these are super cute, but if you had asked me what items are important to be vegan/all-natural, I don’t think I would have said candles. I understand not wanting paraffin wax dripping onto cake you’re about to eat, but wax is generally easy enough to remove, I think. That’s fine, though – these are handy and I’m happy to have them, I just wouldn’t have bought them myself.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 10

Baby Carrot Children’s Herbal Chest Rub - 0.5 oz, value: $5.99

This chest rub is extra-gentle contains botanicals and essential oils. This is great for kids. I have something similar from the Honest Company but I like the smell and consistency of this one, too!

Zabana Essentials Glow Stick in Bare Beauty - 0.63, value: $9.95

I am loving this discovery in this box. I got one in my May Ecocentric Mom box, too, so I’m excited to share this with a friend. This is basically an illuminating balm stick. It’s a sheer/clear color with shimmer that you can use to highlight your face, body, or use as a lip balm!

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 11

It makes a very subtle sheen which makes it really ease to swipe on and go and blend the tiniest bit with your fingers. This is easy to use even without a mirror. I also like it as a lip balm, though it’s quite large for a lip balm.

It also smells super fruity and fantastic, so I love that.

ECCOCENTRIC MOM MYSTERY BOX MAY 2016 - items 12

Jenuinely Pure Natural Lavender Baby Oil – value: $2.50

This oil smells great (lavender and chamomile). I think it works well as a baby oil but it’s also effective as a makeup remover!

Verdict: This was a great mom & baby mystery box from Ecocentric Mom! I loved how much stuff was in here and I discovered a handful of new favorite products. The value adds up to $97.73, which is great for a $45 (shipped) box, especially when I love pretty much everything.

MamaChia! I love those things! I have them as a quick little something to get through the day and they do the trick. That being said, even as a fan of beets I think I would pass that flavor up on the shelf. My local Target stocks MamaChia in a kale flavor and a blackberry flavor and both are quite good (for health food). Worth checking out.

Ditto Emily. I’m not a mom either and was curious what these wonderful mothers got. I liked it for me and thought the mom items were great. They need to do a Godmother box next.

I caved and just bought the mom/woman mystery box. Only 3 boxes left for that one.

Wow, so much stuff! Looks like a fun box to open. I’m not a mom and have to admit I only opened this because I read the post title as “Eccentric Mom” and wanted to see what weird things eccentric moms get in boxes. So, slightly disappointed, but still looks like a good one!
