Like most people, I use a product before reading the included information. This above letter discussing changes in this month’s Chroma.Club was included in the booklet. Before I read this page, I could tell that this booklet was different. There was a lot more coloring to be done here and the art this month was even better than usual! Great job Chroma.Club!
Chroma.Club’s goal is to “blend the calming benefits of art therapy with the fun of creativity and innovation, by publishing design that won’t bore you, and will create a real connection between the original artworks and the colors you use to add more fun, life, or character to them.”
While coloring in this way isn’t considered traditional art therapy as it does not address a specific concern with the assistance of a certified therapist, there seems to be quite a bit of press (and a few studies too) recently about the stress relieving impact of coloring. I found this article very interesting.
A few minutes into coloring this page I got up to do something and lo and behold! I had visitors… I’m not sure if it was Apple White or one of her pesky Littlest Pet Shops but somebody scribbled in neon green on my page! Ugh.
How cool are these two? Great artwork!
Verdict: I think the Chroma.Club coloring book is amazing this month! I like the variety and artwork in these booklets so much better than the full size coloring books. We found this size was a bit difficult for two people to color at the same time but the size is great for one person and the booklet is easy to take with you.
As for the value of this subscription, I think it’s worth it. I love having the new designs each month as well as the variation in art. Everyone is different though so you have to ask yourself if the $8.00 cost is worth it to you. An adult coloring book on Amazon typically costs between $5.00 - $10.00. We own three adult coloring books and if you compare the number of pages you receive, the large book format from Amazon is a better deal. What I don’t like about the large books is that they aren’t as easy to take with you and they typically stick to one theme. Chroma Club has different designs and themes with an easy to carry booklet and because of this I find Chroma.Club coloring booklets are what I choose most often.
Does Chroma Club look like something you might enjoy each month?
