Every month comes with a detail card about the items featured in your theme selection.

On the reverse side of these cards, you can find out information about the theme of the box. Bespoke Post Dram gives you everything you need to have your own fancy cocktail night (minus the booze) in a beautifully packaged box.

The jangle of a cube in crystal. The spicy sweet scent of whiskey and bitters. An old fashioned. The name alone conjures up images of Don Draper in a dimly-lit bar, pondering how he’s going to land the Hilton account.

Whiskey Distilled: A Populist Guide to the Water of Life by Heather Greene - Value $17

First up, we have Whiskey Distilled: A Populist Guide to the Water of Life, written by Heather Greene, who happens to be New York City’s first female whiskey sommelier.

Rastal Luxion Crystal Tumblers (Value $24)

These Luxion crystal tumblers from Rastal are not only gorgeous but have a thick, heavy base so muddling ingredients right in the glass is easy. The ice balls in the included Tovolo ice ball makers fit perfectly into these glasses too, keeping your drink icy cool to the last drop.

Tovolo Sphere Iceball Molds (Value $12)

As someone who previously couldn’t care less about the shape of my ice, these Tovolo Sphere Iceball Molds have kind of changed the way I look at the world of cocktails. They are super easy to create, just fill the mold with water, freeze it, and then run the mold under some warm water before pulling the lid off. Your iceball will be smooth and will look pretty cool (HA). For best results, try using distilled water and giving the mold a few good taps before freezing it to loosen any air bubbles that might be sticking to the edges.

Proof Old Fashioned Syrup - 16 fl oz (Value $22)

Finally, we have this Old Fashioned Syrup from Proof. I enjoy old fashioneds often, and my biggest gripe is muddling sugar until it’s fully dissolved in a few dashes of bitters and water. It’s a step that Proof now takes care of for you by combining bitters, sugar, and citrus oils into this syrup, and provides you enough to make 32 old fashioneds, or like, a couple pitchers at that fancy cocktail soiree you were planning on having but hated the thought of muddling sugar for hours on end.

Verdict: All in all, I think this box is a solid value for all the stuff you get ($74 value for $45), and could make a great gift for anyone who enjoys a cocktail from time to time, whether they are a whiskey expert or someone who wouldn’t know Jack Daniel’s from Jim Beam (hint: They’re both whiskey, but one is a charcoal-filtered sour mash whiskey and the other is a bourbon whiskey!)

I love the don’t know Jack…Daniels. Or did I just put more into it than it actually was? Either way, you made me chortle, so thanks for that! Can’t wait to read more reviews.

My husband and I loved this box! The glasses are so cool and substantial. I would never buy those ice cube makers, but now that we have them…I can’t imagine not having them. The mix is great too.

Andy

Yeah I was impressed at how heavy the glasses were, and felt the same way about the cubes!

We’ve been enjoying Dram. That mix makes fantastic old fashioneds.

Andy

Yeah I agree, the mix is really good, and not overly sweet like you might get from a lazy bartender.
