Each box comes with a card detailing the items included with pictures.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream – .5 oz Value $40

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this cream! My main issue is that it has a powdery/floral fragrance, and I like my skincare scents neutral or non-existent. The scent had me ready to write it off, but then I noticed my smile lines were pretty much gone after I had applied it. So at least on my first try, it seems like the hydrating, wrinkle diminishing features work!

And to be fair, the scent faded pretty quickly!

Supersmile Mini-Professional Whitening System – .42 oz total Value $5.80

This system is an accelerator (gel) and toothpaste (no surprise – paste). You put both on the same toothbrush and brush your teeth like you regularly would! I’ve tried Supersmile before and I like it – I haven’t noticed a crazy difference in the whiteness of my teeth, though. So this is something I am happy to use when I get in a subscription box, but not a product I have ever paid full retail for.

LumaRx Detail Trimmer – Value $19

This is one of those items like tweezers that I always keep in my medicine cabinet! It’s great for keeping eyebrow hair, peach fuzz, etc. in check!

Here it is with the trimmer attachment:

I couldn’t get the LED light part to work, but if I’m tweezing or trimming my eyebrows, I am already doing that with as much lighting as possible, so – not a deal breaker!

Laura Geller New York Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liner in Cabernet – FULL SIZE! Value $18

(Subscribers will receive this in Fawn, Buff, or Cabernet)

This shade is a little on the bold side for me, but I like that it pushed me out of my comfort zone. (I’m usually in the neutral zone for lip colors.) The pigment is great, and the staying power is impressive too – it passed the eating test!

Here it is on:

FullSizeRender (31)

(It is a matte finish and a little drying, so I used a clear lip balm before taking this photo.)

Keranique Lift and Repair Treatment Spray – FULL SIZE! Value $18

I love a hair volume product that you can use on both damp or dry hair, and this one meets that requirement! (They recommend spraying on the roots of your damp hair, then blow-drying, but you can also use it as a touch-up product throughout the day.)

I tried this on dry hair and I was pretty liberal with applying the product. At first, that gave my hair a little stiffness, but I brushed it a bit and then got back to the level where I could easily run my fingers through my hair.

It also has a really refreshing minty scent – which I wasn’t expecting from a hair product, but I liked!

Erno Laszlo Hydraphel Skin Supplement Lotion – 15 ml Value $4

I think the best thing about this toner is that it really doesn’t have a scent. If you are looking for a toner that doesn’t have the typical alcohol smell, I would recommend this one. Other than that, I didn’t see/feel much of a difference after applying, so I’m not sold on this product, yet!

MDSolarSciences Daily Eye Repair Emulsion – 5 ml Value $27.30

This is another stand-out product in the box for me! The gel almost melts into your skin the moment you apply it, and it is fragrance-free! This is 1/3 the size of the full size version, too. It should last me a few weeks!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $132! I think BeautyFix almost always delivers a great value compared to the cost, and they did that again this month. If you are looking for a good mix of skincare and haircare products with the occasional beauty item, I highly recommend this box.

What do you think of the June 2016 Beauty Fix box? What are your favorite items this month?

  1. The code BF5OFF will give you $5 off!!

    • Thank you for the code! I usually wait for Liz’s review before ordering and I just gave in with the code, lol. I can use all the products, so super excited!

  2. FYI- I just went to their site and they gave be 20% off the first box! Only $20. Well worth it. Looks like today is the last day for the deal.

    • did you have to enter a code? I am not getting the extra $5.00 off.

    • Found the code, it’s SUMMER if any one is interested.

      • No, the code SUMMER won’t work for the BeautyFix box. You need to use CONFIDENCE. I tried to sign up last night, glad the traction didn’t go thru correctly.

        • Actually I can’t get either to work

    • LT, how did you get the 20% off? When I tried the code summer I got aessage that the offer code wasn’t applicable to this product. I was a BF subscriber for over a year but I was really turned off during that time when they were offering the box for $5 to new subscribers. Those were fairly junky boxes too!
Anyway, if anyone knows how to work the 20% off please let me know!

      • It was weird… When I went in on my phone, through the mobile site, it worked and I never entered the code. I tried on my iPad, and it said the box wasn’t eligible for the promo.

  3. Marine cream works wonders in my opinion. Well enough to adjust to the odd scents. I always like the skincare items in this box review but being how not into hair products I am, I don’t know if subbing would be very practical for me.

  4. BeautyFix is consistently a great box.. I am partial to skin and hair products so it’s a match made in heaven for me. Someone asked so I’ll just add that I am sooo over Glossybox. When my annual runs out in August, I’m done. It’s just not worth it when there are so many beauty subs that could be a better fit.

  5. I just signed up for this one , thanks for posting the review! I’m mostly interested in skin and haircare so this is right up my alley, too many make up samples in some of my other subs this month.

    • If you are mostly interested in skin and haircare items I think this will be the perfect box for you! Hope you love it! 🙂

  6. Beauty Fix customer service is amazing!!!! My Erno Lazlo toner had a loose cap and the contents were spilled everywhere. I contacted customer service and they sent a replacement toner in two days (plus two foil packet samples). I then noticed that I had not received the whitening toothpaste although I did have the accelerator. I contacted CS again and apologized for not having noticed when I first contacted them, but they said “no problem” and sent me the toothpaste…..again in two days (and with another foil sample). I LOVE my Beauty Fix box!!!!!!

    • My toner was lose and lost most of it. I called and they sent me a full box within a couple of days I didn’t expect that. I’ve got way too much product though so I need to take a break for a couple of months. I’ll come back to Beautyfix! But not GLOSSYBOX

  7. Dang, this is a pretty good box this month ? I might need to rethink some of my subs to include BeautyFix on a regular basis. Me and Beauty Fix have an on and off relationship. Now it’s off.

  8. Ugh want that trimmer! Any up to trade?!

  9. My box was missing the eye cream..called up CS and a few days later I had a replacement and an extra sample!!!! Great company!

  10. Every time I see this box I get super excited! Although I am super pleased with my beauty DNA match this month I feel a switch coming on.

  11. No! How can you post both this and Look Fantastic within days of one another? Now I have to choose.

  12. Ooh, I really that lip liner shade. The one I got was a little more red—a nice shade but one I already have a few of.

  13. This and Allure are keepers for me forever! I am still trying to decide between Boxycharm and Glossybox, though. Any thoughts from anyone on that?

    • I am with you on living Beautyfix and Allure. I loved this box so much I ordered a second one!

      • I cancelled my Glossybox and subbed with Boxycharm instead. I felt that the reveiws for Boxycharm were always better than Glossybox and I’ve never received a box from Glossy that I absolutely loved, although I’ve had major box envy when I read Liz’s Boxycharm reviews.

        • Ooo! The June Boxycharm box is one of my favorites from them yet – I hope you love it! 🙂

    • I am ending my Glossy sub. It’s been four months and I have yet to be mildly impressed with them. My biggest gripe is that they bill by the fourth yet I don’t receive my box until the end of the month, still waiting for June:/

  14. I love beauty fix! Great review as usual! I’m proud of you for going out of your comfort zone and taking a picture with the lip liner on. By the way it looks awesome on you and you have a beautiful smile!

    • Thanks, Shannon! 🙂 Trying to make the reviews as helpful as possible!

  15. This is actually a nice Beauty Fix box!

    • Agree! I feel like this mix of products is just right! 🙂

      • Yep! And I love that it includes a tool! To me that always brings up the value of a box.

  16. This is my favorite beauty subscription box, forever! I love that they have a good selection of skin care, hair care, make up and tools. The value is always there, they’ve had a few missteps with the hair loss treatment 🙂 but otherwise, it’s been a boon to have this sub.

  17. Your smile is gorgeous!

Great review! The box looks terrific. I love Beauty Fix but am taking a break to work down my skin and hair products.

    • Thanks! I think I got lucky with angles and cropping on the smile picture 😉

Beauty Fix definitely sends a lot of haircare and skincare products, so I can understand how you might need a break to go through all of them!
