WANTABLE INTIMATES APRIL 2016 - BOX

Wantable Intimates is one of the subscriptions from Wantable, and it is probably my favorite box they offer. Like all Wantable subscriptions, you can heavily customize what they send you by filling out your preferences – and you still get to be surprised!

WANTABLE INTIMATES APRIL 2016 - PACKAGING

WANTABLE INTIMATES APRIL 2016 - info 1

Here are the order details of my box. Wantable recently added free individual item returns to their subscription plans, so you can send back any item(s) you don’t want and get the refund based on the “Your price” listing. (Returns are free for US subscribers). However, if you keep everything, you get a “$4 credit” to your account making your next box $46. If you return anything, you have to pay the full $50 cost for the next box.

WANTABLE INTIMATES APRIL 2016 - info 2

When you first sign up for any Wantable subscription you take a style quiz and you can get very specific about the items you want and don’t want. (This is the list of my loves, likes and dislikes from my invoice).

WANTABLE INTIMATES APRIL 2016 - items 1

Nouveau by Pajama Drama Mint Racerback Tank Top – retail: $28, My price: $17.23

I feel like all I get from Wantable is Pajama Drama brand items. That being said, I do like this tank top. It fits well, is comfortable, and matches the shorts they also sent me. I like tank and short sets for summer, so I’m glad they sent a matching set.

WANTABLE INTIMATES APRIL 2016 - items 2

Nouveau by Pajama Drama Drawstring Shorts – retail: $22, my price: $13.54

These shorts go with the tank above. They fit true to size and are a comfortable material. I think the cream color is a little boring and not exciting, though.

WANTABLE INTIMATES APRIL 2016 - items 3

Blush Hipster – retail: $15, my price: $9.23

I’ve received a pair like this in the past, and I like them – so I’m happy to have another pair.

Verdict: Honestly, I’m pretty unimpressed with my Wantable Intimates this month.  Even though they’re all comfortable and practical pieces, I don’t think I’d pay $50 for a thin tank + short set and a pair of underwear. Sometimes you can find items that Wantable sends on sale online so the value can be a little tricky to evaluate – personally, I think as long as all the items included are worth the subscription cost to me, I count the box as a win, which this box isn’t for me.

What do you think about Wantable Intimates?

Agree agree agree! This used to be my only MUST HAVE box but I was so disappointed with the last one I sent the whole thing back with a poor review. I felt like they really used to listen to my comments but not in the past couple of months. I said I didn’t like plain thin tanks on my preferences but I guess when they send them as part of a thin shorts set, they don’t count it as a tank because I almost get more since I made the comment in a review. In a way I am glad to hear the rest of these comments. I won’t wonder if I did the right thing when I cancel.

I agree with commenters above. i did this box for 9 months and finally just quit. They didn’t; seem to listen, and I live right by a TJMaxx and a Gordman’s where i could find the same items and brands on the racks for less!

I quit them. I’m a plus sized girl (with small boobs) and told them repeatedly I have a belly. They sent me a high low shirt that showed up to my belly button and I cried. Returned the whole thing, wrote the reviews, and should have cancelled. I gave them one more month and it wasn’t a hit. They sent me a shirt that my boobs (remember, they’re small things) popped out of. I can’t forgive them. I tried to give them a chance, but it felt so deeply personal that the company wouldn’t listen to what I wanted as a customer. I haven’t missed them yet.

Haven’t missed Wantable since I cancelled after they kept sending me summer items through November despite me repeatedly saying for three months to send me warm clothing. On top of that, the price increase if I ever went back and the fact they touted a fantastic upgrade with the new system and then keep sending the same cheaper item back stock they seem to have had forever…no way. It used to be one of my favorite boxes for a year and a half before I cancelled. It all started with the announcement of the subscription change. I was reassured we would get great pieces with higher value etc and I’d be so angry if I’d paid $36 on the old plan for that box, let alone $46. That said, the set is cute but so would three items from somewhere like Aerie for the same price with softer fabric that would last longer.

I think the set is cute. That being said, I feel 100% confident that you could get practically the same items for less than $25 at Nordstrom Rack or TJ Maxx.

I can’t believe how far downhill this subscription has fallen. It used to be my fave. :/ I used to spend $120 a month on all three of the options (makeup, intimates & accessories) and then Wantable started these “edit” boxes (style & fitness) – both which are super overinflated in prices. The three regular options all went up in price (from $40 to $50) but went WAY down in quality. Too bad, because Wantable used to be my #1 subscription box place because the quizzes are so detailed and I could always get what I needed/wanted. Not any more.

Ug, same here. I got a Style Edit – prices were inflated. Got a Fitness Edit – again, prices were inflated. How much? They sent me a sweatshirt in late-April for $72. The same thing is on Amazon for $16 and available direct from the manufacturer for $30. Also, the sizing is wildly inconsistent. I was a size S for the top they sent me and a size XL for the bottom (so no, the size Ms that they sent didn’t fit). If they’d have just offered me the sweatshirt for say $40 I’d have bought it from them.

Me too! Wantable Intimates was the one box I would never skip, my #1 favorite. Now I just don’t love it anymore, and have skipped twice in a row. I tried a Style Edit, and aside from being overpriced, I hated everything in the box. Accessories is still doing okay for me.
