Each box comes with an info card detailing the candles featured that month, as well as the bonus gift.
Each candle is wrapped in a pretty fabric every month. Unfortunately, they’re not a tea towel or anything fun and functional, but if you’re crafty you can probably collect these as swatches or something!
These are the candles this month! The candle maker being featured this month is Chi Candle.
Chi Candle Wild Mountain Honey Travel Tin – 6 oz, value: $10 (burn time ~35 hours)
I really like the way this smells because I like the scent of honey! This smells like honey mixed with pretty floral notes. I also like travel candles and candles with lids because they store easily, too.
Chi Candle Fig & Sage Candle – 7.5 oz, value: $18 (burn time 70 hours)
My sister in law took one whiff of this candle and said “This candle smells like Christmas!” Which it does, a little, because of the sage. However I think it’s a good savory scent for anytime, too. The packaging is also beautiful.
Verdict: I really like this month’s candle picks! The value adds up to $28. I know the value is a little less than the cost of the box, but I do think curation/discovery plays a bit into the value for this sub, so keep that in mind. Also, the fact that you’d have to pay shipping to get the candles straight from the manufacturer helps even out the value in some way. All in all, I’m happy!
