Grey Ghost Bakery - Cinnamon Pecan Cookies - $2.00

These are really great for cookies that have pecans in them (lol - I hate pecans).  I realize that many people love pecans, so if you do, you will appreciate them added here.  The sugar coating adds a little crunch, the pecans a little nutty flavor, and the cinnamon just goes perfectly with the flavors here!

Raley's Confectionary - Acid Drops Hard Candy - $5.00

These are sour candies with green apple, orange, cherry, and raspberry flavors.  I am not the biggest hard candy fan, and even less so with sour candies, but the flavors were nice!

Izard Chocolate Original Caramels - $8.00

If you like caramels - get thee to a place where you can purchase these immediately.  OMW are they amazing.  Super creamy, smooth, and flavorful, without the tooth achingly sweet aspect of most caramels.  These are excellent.

Grey Ghost Bakery - Chocolate Espresso Cookies - $2.00

I really loved these.  The flavor was super intensely chocolatey, and the slight crunch from the sugar coating was excellent.  I wasn't able to pick out the espresso flavor exactly, but I think it added a depth that was just phenomenal.  I would purchase these again.

Verdict:  I really liked this month from Treatsie, except the sour hard candies aren't really my thing.  The caramels and cookies though were absolutely amazing. The cookies were pretty close to a home-baked cookie, which is what all cookies should aspire to be!

The value of this box is about $17.00, which is right under the cost of the box.  Treatsie seems to hover right around this value, so if you're looking to subscribe, don't expect a big bang for your buck - just go in expecting delicious goodies and you'll be satisfied!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

This was my first box and I got the one reviewed above. Loved everything, especially the caramels, but disappointed to learn they do variations. I hate variations, especially with food boxes! I will have to cancel if they keep that up.

I asked them about this. They are experimenting with variations. I got the same box as Bekki, the “light blue” box. The other one was the “teal” box. Sounds like we will get some options in the future. They couldn’t tell me when yet. I really hope they don’t stop sending chocolate in the summer. That would make the box pointless for me!

Our box was pretty different except for the sours. We got ginger cookies, organic fruit chews, and a caramel stroopwafel. I hope the next one has chocolate! Do they stop sending chocolate in the summer?

I received a different box as well! The ginger cookies were awesome!
I cancelled my subscription because the value just isn’t there and the past few have been disappointing.
