This month's theme was chocolate and fruit!
Lady Walton's White Chocolate Amaretto Cookie - $0.91
Target used to sell their own brand of cookies similar to these, and they were my all time favorites! I'm not sure why I never looked around to see if there were any cookies similar, but I am so glad Something Snacks decided to include these! This cookie was lightly crunchy, sweet, and amaretto flavored - I'm smitten all over.
180 Snacks Nutty Rice Bites with Blueberries - $1.75
These were really pretty good. They seem to be decently healthy, and I believe they are gluten free. The flavor was nice - lightly sweet, nutty, and fruity all at the same time.
Grandma's Chocolate Chip Cookies - $0.88
If you have to eat packaged chocolate chip cookies, these are the ones to go for. They're soft, sweet, and chock full of chocolate chips. I prefer more salt in my cookies, but they're really good for manufactured cookies.
Raspberry KitKat from Japan - $1.25
I really liked this! There's something about all of the new flavors of KitKat that I've been able to try since subscribing to subscription boxes that excites me! I know, it doesn't take much. My favorite has been the Sakura KitKat, which unfortunately, I can't find online!!
Del La Rosa Peanut Candy Marzipan Style Covered with Chocolate - $0.87
I used to love these little pasty discs of peanut matter. These will suck all of the moisture out of your mouth in about 2 seconds. The chocolate addition here is nice, but these are never going to be a favorite of mine as an adult!
Lulu Platanitos Plantain Chips with Lemon - $1.00
I really liked these. Plantains are something that I wasn't super familiar with until a few years ago, but I love them! These chips are lightly flavored with lemon and delicious. I love the crunch, and the lightly sweet flavor of the plantain.
Knott's Berry Farm Apricot Shortbread - $0.60
If there's another cookie that is so reminiscent of childhood than these Knott's Berry Farm shortbread cookies, I don't know it! I grew up near Knott's Berry Farm, and it was always so weird to me that they had a full line of jam, jelly, cookies, and whatever else they sell, because to me, they'll always be an amusement park! These were really good though - you can't go wrong with shortbread.
Verdict: This Something Snacks box has a value of about $7.26. Even if you sign up for a longer subscription, you're paying about $12.00 to the US...I think it would be nice for the value on this box to come up a bit. I do think it is a fun box to get, since there's generally a nice mix of sweet and savory though.
