Included was an information card detailing some of the items for the month.
Cat Fanciers Association Active Cat Break Away Collar – Value $5.99
I have had collars like this in the past. They are designed to break away if cats become entangled in something dangerous. My cats have figured out how to remove these in non-dangerous situations. But, I will keep it on hand in case I ever need a cat collar.
Cosmic Catnip High Top – Value $4.14
You fill this with catnip. Monkey thought it was pretty awesome (see below).
Zanies Cheese Wedge Furry Mouse – Value $0.38
A good standby. Nice and small so the cats can toss them around.
Our Pets Play-n-Squeak at Night Twinkle Wobble Mouse – Value $12.45
My cats aren’t really into the noisemaking toys. (When this is moved, it chirps and lights up.) I’ll save this for when I get a kitten (18 pounds left for me to lose to reach my goal weight – a kitten is the reward I’ve promised myself).
Shoo, Sneaky!
Crinkleball Stuck on Cat Teazzz – Value $9.99
My cats like the crinkleball toy that is separate from a stick so they like this, too. But I am having a hard time getting the suction cup to stick to things.
Go Cat Feather Toys “Da Bird” – Value $10.72
This was, by far, my cats’ favorite item in the box. See below for a few action shots.
Whole Life Cat Treats Pure Chicken (1 oz) – Value $5.93
This is 100% chicken and made in the USA. I like cat treats without a lot of filler or byproducts.
Pet Greens Semi Moist Deep Sea Tuna (3 oz) – Value $3.99
We’ve had these before in other flavors and they were popular. And my cats have become more appreciative of fish lately, so this was another win.
Corrugated Cardboard Scratch Pad – Value $10 (?)
There was also a corrugated cardboard scratch pad in the box. I just couldn’t get a photo of it without a cat on it…My guys (and gal) love these and I have them lining my upstairs hallway so Nyx can’t get to them. They get used often.
There was also some product literature in the box.
Gratuitous cat photo time!
Madison will try pretty much any treat. He ate them faster than my flash would go off, here!
Madison being shy. At least he doesn’t have laser eyes.
Monkey bites the shoe toy.
Sneaky had a blast with this toy. It was so fun to watch her.
Mr. Kitty is not amused…
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $63.59 for the May 2016 Purr Packs box. That is an excellent value for a cat box and my cats liked most of the items in the box (cats are picky and will rarely like everything) so this month was a win for us. This is consistently my favorite cat subscription and also one of the best values.
What did you think of the May 2016 Purr Packs box? Do you subscribe to any cat boxes?
