Pop In A Box Subscription Box Review + 50% Off Coupon May 2016 - inside

Pop In A Box is a Funko POPs subscription that helps you build out your collection every month! They’ve started to ship to the US earlier this year, and I finally caved and gave it a shot! You can sign up to receive 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, or 12 POPs each month. This is a review of a 6-POP delivery.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Pop In A Box Subscription Box Review + 50% Off Coupon May 2016 - all POPs

The Subscription Box: Pop In A Box

The Price: $9.99 + Shipping (My shipping was about $5)

COUPON: Save 50% off your first shipment, no coupon required, just use this link

The Products: Pop In A Box allows you to grow your POP! collection every month with a guaranteed mystery Funko POP! Vinyl that’s not in your collection.

Ships to: US, UK, and Canada

This box ships very quickly, so they must have distribution in the US now. About 2-3 days after I was charged, the box was at the door.

I went back to a 6-POP box, it still provides good value and it reasonable for the budget.

Here’s a quick run-down of creating your PIAB account:

The first thing you’ll want to do is set up your collection. This is an important step to ensure that you don’t receive a duplicate POP or a POP that you may not care about.

individual POP

You can cycle through POPs and selection options for each one. Mark ‘I HAVE THIS’ for POPs you have and avoid duplicates. Give POPs a thumbs down to let PIAB know that you don’t want it, and mark it as thumbs up to let them know that you’re really interested in that specific POP.

PIAB collection

There are a TON of POPs to go through. I haven’t even gone through all of them, but in the end, you’ll have built your own collection! This will help you keep track of what you have, and it will help PIAB know what to send.

Ok – on to the POPs!

The Breakfast Club: Allision Reynolds

I’m so close to completing my Breakfast club collection now – only one more to go!

American Horror Story: Pepper

I stopped watching AHS mid-way through the Freak Show season…It just lost momentum for me. But – I did like some of the characters in that season, and Pepper was one.

Independence Day: David Levinson

Awesome. I still can’t believe they’re making another Independence Day movie. With Bill Pullman – where has he been?

Also, Jeff Goldblum…I can’t not think of this Jurassic Park photoshop that popped up recently:

I love when Photoshoppers get it right! Haha!

First Order Flametrooper

YES! Star Wars POP! I love the Flame trooper suit – I’m excited to get this in the collection.

Game of Thrones: Bronn

Here’s a character we have yet to hear from this season – I love/hate how you can go an entire year without furthering one characters plot (Bran!).

Dodgeball: Peter La Fleur

This was the last POP in the box. The collection continues…

Verdict: This is as straight forward as a subscription box gets. If you’re a collector looking to build out and track your collection – POP in a Box is right for you. You’ll only get POPs you don’t own, and if you buy in bulk, you can save some money while building your little POP empire.

What do you think of this shipment of POP in a Box? Do you subscribe?

  1. I ordered 2 pops from the subscription a month ago and still have not received them. They offer no tracking so I have no idea if or when I will get them. But they sure did take my money.

  2. I went on the PIAB website and for a 6 pop subscription it was something like $28. What gives? Above you say it costs $9.99 + shipping. I am just wondering what’s the real deal???

  3. I got a box this month and I wasn’t too happy with it. They sent me POPs that I had un-favorited about a week before I was even charged so I only ended up with 2 POPs that I really wanted and 4 that I am just “eh…” about. Waste of over $30, imo

  4. Ugh, I want this box so bad! I wish POPs weren’t so expensive!!
