Info Card

Each box comes with an information sheet, which offers tasting notes for each wine as well as some information on the winery and recipe pairing ideas. I really like the inclusion of the recipe pairings.

white

Mas Candi Desig Blanc Xarel-lo 2014 – Value $17.99

This white was citrusy and bright. I love that it wasn’t sweet at all. This wine comes from Spain and is made without any chemicals or sprays.

red

Harrington Nine Grape Pile-Up 2014 – Value $14.99

Plonk refers to this wine as the everything-but-the-kitchen-sink blend! It’s comprised of Montepulciano, Barbera, Sagrantino, Aglianico, Touriga Nacional, Carigan, Merlot, Grenache and Pinot Noir. We really enjoyed this wine a lot. I’ve had blends before but never one with nine varieties. It tasted fruity and full-bodied. I might have to order more of this one when the weather cools down.

Verdict:  I’m thoroughly enjoying my Plonk Wine Club boxes! I love trying new wines, especially from smaller boutique wineries. The recipe pairings are a nice touch too. I also want to note that if you fall in love with one of the wines they send you can order an entire case at a 16% discount with free shipping.

What do you think of the Plonk Wine Club box?
