MORPHEME BRUSH SUBSCRIPTION REVIEW APRIL 2016 - BOX

Morphe Me Monthly Brush Club is a monthly subscription that exclusively sends you cosmetic brushes.  They guarantee at least $30 in brushes in every delivery.

I used to work at Sephora, and one of my favorite things I learned in my time there is that the “rules” for what to use brushes for are definitely “guidelines.” There are some general features to brushes that affect their performance, but if you find a way to make a brush work for you that you like, use it like that! Plus, the internet is an amazing resource for usage tips and tutorials!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes)

MORPHEME BRUSH SUBSCRIPTION REVIEW APRIL 2016 - ITEMS 1

M510 Pro Rounded Blender – value: $7.99

This brush is great for having a lighter application of powder. The longer bristles mean that the brush head has more give and won’t press hard against the skin. This will work great for all-over eye blending or even applying a crease color.

M505 Tapered Blender value: $6.99

This brush is good for all the same things as this other blending brush, but its bristles are a little short and stiffer, so it will pick up more pigment, as well as deposit more pigment where you use it.

M504 Large Pointed Blender – value: $6.99

Brushes with pointed tips allow for better precision when applying color. This will work great for cut-crease looks or transition shades.

M330 Blending Crease - value: $5.99

I have a weird affinity for crease brushes. I’m very particular about how I like them to be and this one is perfect. I like the oval brush heads for my every-day crease colors.

M508 Smudger – value: $3.99

I also love my smudging/detail brushes! Smudgers have short, stiff bristles. These are the secret to smokey eyes! If you want to smoke out your eyeliner some, just use a brush like this to smudge. Similarly, if you want to use a powder/eyeshadow as your eyeliner for a more subtle look, it’s easy to get that precise line and details with this.

VerdictSo far, I like MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club! I like the quality and feel of the brushes, and it seems like a great value as well. The value adds up to $31.95 this month.

I like those 330 brushes but they sent us two last month as well.

Oh well, I guess that is just more brushes to use before I have to wash any.

Ragan, you’re right – we did get duplicates. I’ve only subscribed for a couple of months and like the brushes, however, I wish they’d plan a bit better to prevent getting the same thing.
