mystery-mothers-day-coupons

As with their regular boxes, there was no information card included, but they did include these three items. At the top left is a mystery discount code to shop on their site, top right is a coupon for Hello Fresh, and on the bottom is a coupon for 25% off your first Peaches and Petals Box. I love Peaches and Petals, so I was happy to see this in the box!

mystery-mothers-day-mug

Wonder Woman Mug – Value $9.95

Every Mom should have one of these mugs. I was so thrilled to get it! It’s perfect.

mystery-mothers-day-pashmina

mystery-mothers-day-pashmina-2

Black Pashmina – Value $9.95

On the one hand, getting a black shawl in a Mother’s Day box makes me feel pretty old! I would obviously wear it as a scarf, though, and it is very soft, elegant, and versatile.

mystery-mothers-day-beauty

Freeman Coffee & Chai Energizing Paper Eye Mask – Value $4.50

I don’t think I’ve ever had an eye mask before! Has anyone tried this? Is it safe? It’s supposed to revive the tired skin around the eyes. That skin is so delicate, though, I’m pretty picky about what I put there.

Twirl by Kate Spade Body Lotion – Value $9.91

We can never have too much lotion in my house, but this one smells so great I think I’m going to have to keep it in my personal stash! It’s also lightweight and absorbs quickly, so it will be perfect for summer.

mystery-mothers-day-mask

Spa Bella Soothing Gel Eye Mask – Value $6.75

This mask can be frozen or microwaved to provide relief to tired eyes. I popped mine in the freezer right away, but I keep forgetting to take it out and use it. I bet it will be pretty awesome, though!

mystery-mothers-day-tote

mystery-mothers-day-tote-2

Snapsac Megatote – Value $23.99

I love bags that can be folded or collapsed! Plus, this tote bag is huge! I put it in with my reusable grocery bags, but I actually think if this was filled with groceries I wouldn’t be able to carry it!

mystery-mothers-day-tools

Cosmetic Bag with Tools – Value $15?

I couldn’t find this set online, so the value is a guess. This is really handy, though! I like to change my brushes out frequently, so those are always welcome. I also like the color and print of this bag. It’s a win!

mystery-mothers-day-pillow

Anti-stress Neck Pillow with Lavender and Chamomile – Value $17.95

Like the eye mask, this neck pillow can also be used hot or cold. Unlike the eye mask, I did NOT forget to use it! This heated up in the microwave (but didn’t get too hot), smelled great, and helped to relax my neck beautifully.

Verdict: What an awesome Mother’s Day Box! I thought all of the items were actually really well chosen and generally appropriate for all different kinds of mothers! I think I will use everything in this box, too. The value of everything totals almost $100, which is phenomenal for a $26 box!

What did you get in your Mother’s Day Mystery Box of Awesome?

  1. I ordered for tye first time at the end of april for the may box the bigger version and on monday it shows that a label was created for fed ex but as of today there has been no other information. Fedex tracking shows that the made the lable but still havent recieved it. Does anyone else have this problem?

    • Yes, same problem. The label has been showing in my FedEx account for about a week now without any movement. Also, I had emailed to ask them how they ship their boxes and they told me USPS. So who knows what is going on!

Additionally, I just got an email that they tried to bill me for another box (or duplicate billing?) but was declined. Uhm, yes, I do not allow billing for a second box before receiving the first!

      • Their customer service is quite lacking. One girl seems to answer all the emails and should you dare to email more than once, say bc it’s been a month, you’ve received no box but labels have been created through both FedEx and UPS, she simply sends the same snarky reply. I cancelled and was going to renew before the 10th so I could receive the box the same month as billing but her emails convinced me not to renew at all.

  2. I got everything that you got except the pashmina, the gel mask and the neck pillow. Additionally, I received a very nice lap table, an infinity scarf that I really like. It’s a burgundy knit with fringe. At first I thought that it was a sweater. I also got a bottle of facial serum with retinol and a large bath bomb. It looked like the ones from Lush, but it was another brand. I’ve already used it, and it smelled good and left my skin soft but not oily. I also got a Thermos brand insulated wine carrier. It’s large enough to hold two bottles and it has a removable divider. I googled my items and the value was close to $175. I paid for the upgrade and thought that it was a great box, although but I didn’t get much more than the regular size box. But, instead of focusing on what I didn’t get, I’m going to continue being really happy about what I got! I will use everything that I got.

  3. I would be embarrassed to give my mother any of this. It’s all cheap , generic stuff, nothing unique to her interests or what she likes. How awful

  4. I ordered the deluxe version of the monthly May box. I was under the impression that there will be more items than the regular box and will be disappointed if there is not. What is the point of paying more?

  5. I really liked this box!!

  6. weren’t you supposed to also get a spa set?

    • Yea I remember that spoiler too!

  7. I wish I had ordered this one.

  8. I’m really bummed. I purchased this box and paid an additional 9.99( I think) to upgrade, for more items.
I received.. The tote, the same mug, the scarf in purple, the same facial sheet packet, the same lotion, a tray( instead of the neck pillow), and a small cooloer bag ( instead of the eye gel mask). Wasn’t the spoiler , that was supposed to be in all of the boxes, a spa/Skin set?
It appears that I did not get any extra items or the spoiler.
It’s ironic that you posted this, I was just talking about how I have not seen any reviews.

    • Same here – paid for the upgrade and got the items you mentioned Bonny. My scarf was gray.

      • Julie, I’m curious if anybody that paid for the upgrade received additional Items?

        • I ordered both boxes to see what the difference would be and I was very disappointed… the only difference was that in the deluxe box I received an extra bag… I didn’t get nearly as cool of a coffee mug, and didn’t get the eye mask or the neck pillow. Seemed like mostly junk. 🙁

    • Hi Bonny,

We reached out to That Daily Deal about the spoiler:
That Daily Deal mistakenly posted an old video to the page where they were selling their current mother’s day box. They took down the video when the realized the mistake, but some customers purchased the box with that spoiler information. If anybody purchased the Box solely for that spoiler they can return the Box for a refund. However, the Box must be completely intact.

      Hope that helps!

      • Liz, Thank you for letting me know. You would think that the COMPANY would have sent a letter or an email, though.
Then, there is the issue of paying for an upgrade, just to see that I didn’t get anything more than a regular priced box : ( .
I am subbed to their monthly box and Im glad I didn’t opt to pay for an upgrade on that one.

      • Do you know where/how to send them back? I’d send both mine back. 🙁

    • I legitimately told my cousin (who ordered the box with the upgrade as well) the same thing. I thought the upgrade guaranteed extra items… I guess the Tray is more valuable than the neck roll… but still. If I ever do order this again and its a BIG IF, I won’t bother spending the extra money.

  9. I think this box might be run by the same folks who do Peaches & Petals, or maybe they just buy from the same source? I received that same gel eye mask in a previous Peaches & Petals box. And the Kate Spade lotion was an add-on for a few months. The pashmina (in a different color, at least for me) and the snapsac tote have been mystery reward items. And the paper eye mask was in my most recent (very late) April box as an apology gift. Just thought it was important to note that if you subscribe to both boxes, you might end up with some duplicates!

    • I know that 13deals comes from the same parent company as Peaches and Petals. They have a couple businesses based around the model of buying Big Lots-esque closeouts and discounts that brands sell privately in bulk for a fraction of former retail value (sometimes even for pennies per item) as a last ditch effort to make some sort of money off their unwanted product. It’s like the dollar store version of Gilt or Zulily, except a few steps down the food chain (as in, even AFTER zulily type companies have rejected/failed to sell the product).

      • Pet Treater, too…don’t mind so much for toys but the treats that come from there are always super close to expiration.
