  1. Does anyone know – are you only eligible for Secret Store once you receive your first box? I signed up a couple of weeks ago (but past the June box deadline – which is fine) and on my acct is says SS is open but that I don’t have access until my monthly payment has gone through. I paid for three months up front and got my gift for subscribing in the mail on Friday (I know right? Clearly I’m not in need of Julep polish) – will I have to wait another month before I can have access?

    • I think you have to opt in for the monthly box to get early access to the store. When you try to access it does it give you a date a few days from now?

      • Nope! All I see is – “You cannot access the Secret Store until the payment for the June Maven Box box has been successfully processed.”

🙁 I’m missing out on so many great deals I just know it! haha

        • Actually now that I think about it I suppose it makes sense – I’m a Maven but my actual subscription (while paid for) doesn’t kick in until July.

Alas – my bank card is safe.

        • Yes theses a delay. This month’s SS isn’t very good. You aren’t missing much.

          • Thanks for all of the comments.
I thought I was being a bit petty, as I thought that the Secret Store was a bit lame, too. I feel a bit better now that other people think that it was a bit of a disappointment this month as well.
Oh, Amber P…you will likely get a great single-use code in you first box…you should get a 50% off coupon! The Secret Store is about 50% off, so you won’t be missing out.
FYI, if you want something, the price of the add-on items is usually a little bit better than the Secret Store prices (unless Julep gives us some great Secret Store coupons again). You have the opportunity to select add-on items only when you select what is in your first customized box.
I have really liked the curated boxes that have been selected for me lately. I haven’t wanted to swap anything out (which is very unlike most of my other subscription experiences).
Another heads-up to everyone…if you want the 6-month price, you have to start your subscription at the 6-month rate – you can’t change it after the fact.

    • I ordered a 3 month subscription at the very end of April. June will be my first box. I did gain access to the Secret Store at the end of April/early May, but it took a few days for them to process my order and open up the secret store to me.

    • Mavens that “take” their box get early access to the SS. If you did not get a box this month, then the SS will open for you on June 1.

  2. I seriously need to stop shopping in the Secret Store. I always end up buying things that I already have…

    • I wish the website had some type of inventory control, no lie.. We all seem to gravitate to what we like and then double up…

Just a side note, I am loving the zodiac collection!

      • Last month’s zodiac polish is one thing I bought twice…

    • That’s my fear, so I always have to consult a spreadsheet I made listing all of my Julep polishes before I purchase anything from the store. However, that doesn’t always help, because I just noticed last night, that despite having different names, some of my polishes pretty much look exactly the same (there were two that I literally couldn’t tell the difference in except for their names :D).
On another note, I’m so proud of myself… I finally was smart in using a coupon (I’m not the best at strategically using them to get the most bang for my buck). I used the APR15 code to get the Pool Party set, cuticle oil, and a lip gloss for $18 (after tax)! Yay me!

      • You can use this website to track your Julep polishes and compare different colors to see if they are alike or different: julep.ariaevans.org

        • Wow. I love the look of the website for inventory. But I’m bummed that you have to use FB to use it. Does anyone know of one that doesn’t require FB?

        • You are a lifesaver! This is amazing. I’m so pleased I scrolled through the comments. 😀

        • Wow! That site is genius!
