Candy Club has several different club options that help tailor boxes to suit different candy preferences. Subscribers can choose between three clubs: “Sours & More,” “Classics,” and “Favorites.”
To help determine which club is right for you, subscriptions begin with a fun online quiz! (Though, if you don’t like your quiz results, you can always pick a different club.)
Each Candy Club Box comes with a card detailing the month’s featured candies.
On the reverse, nutritional details are listed along with any relevant allergy information.
These sour stars come in five flavors: lemon, tangerine, watermelon, wild cherry, and sour apple. I love sour candies, and I could eat these all day long.
Lucky Country Strawberry Licorice
I never really buy flavored licorice, but it’s one of those things that I’m happy to nosh on when it’s in my cabinet. This strawberry licorice is really yummy. It’s soft and sweet.
Albanese White Strawberry Banana Bears
I received these white strawberry banana gummy bears in my April 2015 box from Candy Club, and I think this is the first time I’ve ever received a duplicate candy. I enjoyed them (I’m a big fan of Albanese gummies), though, so I don’t mind the repeat.
Goetze's Chocolate Caramel Creams
These sweet and chewy candies have a creamy center and a nice chocolate flavor. They immediately reminded me of Cow Tales, and after doing a search I found out that both candies are made by Goetze’s. So, I guess the similarity isn’t a coincidence at all!
Verdict: I always look forward to my monthly box from Candy Club. There’s something so fun about receiving a giant box of candy! I enjoyed all of the candy in this month’s box, but I especially enjoyed the sour stars. (The sour watermelon stars are SO GOOD!)
In terms of value, Candy Club says that each box will have a retail value of $60. You can certainly pay that much for candy at high-end candy stores (like Sugarfina and Dylan's Candy Bar), but I think it’s important to point out that nearly all of the candy in this month’s box is available for much less if you buy it in bulk online. Still, even though this subscription doesn’t offer superb value for money, I think it’s a lot of fun.
