Flusher Husher x 10 – Value $3.33
This is so random. These are stickers you put over the sensors in automatic flush public toilets, I guess so they don’t keep going off while you are doing your business. (They are suggested for people with small children.)
Tranquil Time Tea (1 bag) – Value $0.53
This has chamomile, spearmint, licorice, lemongrass, and valerian. I could do without the licorice, which is not my favorite flavor, but it is nice and calming and caffeine-free which is good right before bedtime.
Fru-licious Freeze Dried Apple (0.35 oz) – Value $1
Last month we got this in strawberry banana. I am saving this. Occasionally we plan poorly at the supermarket and end up with no fruit at the end of the week. I use freeze-dried fruit to supplement until we get the chance to shop again!
Libido-Max Red Nitric Oxide Booster x 4 – Value $4
Well, this is the first time I have received male enhancement products in a subscription box…I am not really in a position to evaluate this product but you know, I think the market for such things is quite large based on the contents of my spam folder.
Xylichew Cinnamon (12 pieces) – Value $2.60
This is sugar-free gum sweetened with xylitol from birch. I’ve had the peppermint flavor before and like it, and I found the cinnamon to be pretty good too. Just keep it away from dogs – xylitol is toxic for dogs even in relatively small amounts.
Mauer Classic Protein Bar in Coconut Cashew (2.1 oz) – Value $3
This had coconut flavor but not coconut texture, which was interesting. Overall I liked it, though it did have quite a few more calories (260) than similar bars (by way of comparison, Quest bars range from 170 to 210 and KIND bars center around 200).
Women’s Complete Smarty Pants (2 gummies) – Value $0.41
Men’s Complete Smarty Pants (2 gummies) – Value $0.42
These only have 2 gummies each (one complete dose is 6 gummies). These are really getting a push this month; they were also in Love with Food. My husband will eat the men’s ones but they are not vegetarian so I will pass the women’s vitamins on to someone else.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $15.29 for the May Bulu Box. That is not bad for a $10 subscription, especially since you can usually get it for less with a coupon and can review the items for points in their shop. Some of the items seemed quite random (“Flusher Husher”) but there were enough useful items (gum, protein bar, tea, freeze-dried fruit) to make it worthwhile for me.
