There wasn’t a traditional information card; rather, there was a little card directing you to the Beautifly Pure (not a typo, by the way – that’s how they spell their business name) website and social media pages.

Ylang Ylang, Lemon, and Oatmeal Soap (4.7 oz) – Value $7 (?)

Lavender Soap (4.7 oz) – Value $7 (?)

These particular soap scents weren’t available in the Beautifly Pure shop yet so I just took the values from the per-ounce prices of other soaps they sell (most of which seem to be 4 ounce bars).  These had labels that said 2.5 ounces but they seemed heavier than that to me (they look like full size bars) so I put them on my kitchen scale and they were much larger than advertised.

These both have very light, natural colors and the fragrances are fairly light, with the lavender being a bit stronger.  I have to be careful with soaps scented with natural oils as some essential oils give me rashes (strange as may sound, I often do better with artificial fragrances – which have fewer active components and thus fewer potential allergens).  But these seem OK so far; I have not had any bad skin reactions from using the ylang ylang one, which is in my shower now.  I think this one is working for me because the scent isn’t too strong, which means it is lighter on the oils (or perhaps the particular oils in this soap are not irritants for me).

Anyway, long story short, these soaps are working for me and it is always nice to discover a new, non-irritating brand.

Rosewater Facial Mist (1.5 oz) – Value $3.60

Mine leaked just a little bit but more than 80% of it was still left.  This has a light rose fragrance and is pretty gentle.  I’m not much for using facial mists as facial mists but I have found this to be good as a gentle, non-drying toner for when my skin is irritated (which has happened sometimes lately because of a lot of experimentation with skincare).

Makeup Brushes and Sponge Charcoal Solid Cleanser (1.1 oz) – Value $7

This is a solid cleansing bar for makeup brushes, sponges like Beautyblenders, etc.  I much prefer items like this to liquid cleansers and I am having good results with it so far on my brushes.  This has charcoal to soak up impurities and pigments from your brushes.  Also I love this because it is a type of item you don’t often see in subscription boxes, but if you wear makeup on a regular basis, it is something you probably need!

Verdict:  I estimated a value of almost $25 for the April BPure Box.  The solid cleanser is especially useful to me, but I liked everything in the box and the soaps were non-irritating.  This is also a pretty good value for a box of handmade beauty items and certainly competitive with Etsy pricing, for example.
