Awesome Pack is a subscription box that’s all about family fun time! They send board games, toys, and activities to encourage quality time together. They offer a Family Pack if you need items that would work for young and older kids, or a Big Kid Pack for older kids and adults. (This review is of the Family Pack).

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

When I signed my family up for this subscription, Awesome Pack sent me a pretty extensive quiz about what games my family likes (and what we already have to avoid duplicates). It also asked about the ages of the children and other general interest questions. It’s pretty highly customized! I like that!

As always, they included a fun family activity booklet. In addition, they always send a little piece of Awesome Pack merch, such as a pen or magnet. This month it’s a button.

awesome-pack-apr-pin

C-3PO Funko Pop! Pin – Value $5.49

Last month, some of you were kind enough to point out to me that we were supposed to receive two Funko Pop! Pins in our package, but we only received one. I emailed Awesome Pack’s truly awesome customer service, and they sent this replacement right along in this month’s package. Of course, my ten-year-old snapped this right up!

awesome-pack-apr-game

We Detectives Board Game – Value $18.81 (12.99 British Pounds)

This month’s board game is from the UK, which automatically means we will enjoy it. European games tend to be so much more interesting than American games! The thing I love about this game is that instead of competing with the other family members, we have to work together to solve crimes. So fun!

awesome-pack-apr-hanabi

Hanabi Card Game– Value $9.48

Another collaborative game! I love it! In this card game, players are trying to race the clock to put on a spectacular fireworks display. I can’t wait for us to play it!

Call of Duty Drone Attack by Mega Bloks – Value $4.92

My ten-year-old snatched this up right away as well! I hope he enjoys it, because it’s going to be a while before he gets the video game…

awesome-pack-apr-halo

Halo Mega Bloks Bravo Series Blind Bags – Value $3.09 each

My kids aren’t really into Halo, but everybody loves a good blind bag. Of course, we don’t know exactly what’s in these bags yet because my kids like to save them forever, but generally speaking, each bag should contain one Halo figure, one weapon, and one block.

awesome-pack-apr-pixel-pops

Pixel Pops Zombie Invasion – Value $9.99

It’s an 8-bit battleground to defeat zombies! I think these are similar to Boxos in the way you construct them. My sons will love playing with these.

Pixel Pops Lizard – Value $4.99

As an apology for shorting us our C-3PO pin last month, Awesome Pack sent us an extra this month, and it’s this Pixel Pops Lizard to add to the zombie invasion action! How fun! And very kind on the part of Awesome Pack.

VerdictAwesome Pack is awesome! We have so much fun playing these games every month, and all the extras and toys and things they send have about a 95% success rate with my boys. They also send things that make great gifts, too. This month’s value is about $60, which is good for a $45 box. Additionally, their customer service is great, and their packages are very consistent. We love Awesome Pack!

What do you think of Awesome Pack? What did you get this month?

  1. Hanabi is a great game but if you have someone who likes to be tricky, it doesn’t always work out very well!

  2. We have Hanabi! It a lot of fun! 🙂
