This month’s theme is “RPG!” The kids are still burgeoning gamers, but they are well on their way to mega-geekdom.

This is the information card that was included in the package, detailing its contents. Please note that since many of the items in 1Up Box are custom / exclusive, lots of these values are guesses.

1UP has just launched their own clothing line called 1UP Buddies. They are having a contest to celebrate! Subscribers can post their picture to Instagram or Twitter wearing their t-shirt from this month’s box for a chance to win THREE Assasin’s Creed Funko POPs! Awesome! The note also has a coupon for $10 off any purchase from 1Up Buddies.

“The Furry Assasins” T-shirt – Value $10?

Check out this cute t-shirt! Even though my kids don’t yet play Assassin’s Creed, my little one loved this shirt.

Skyram Pin – Value $4?

This is another 1UP Box exclusive! My sons don’t yet play Skyram either, so I think I’ll hold on to this for them for a while.

Fallout Bookmark – Value $2?

This is a really cool holographic bookmark from Fallout. My sons don’t play Fallout either! But they still liked this and hey, a bookmark is a bookmark.

Assasin’s Creed Emoji Stickers – Value $3?

Although my sons don’t play Assasin’s Creed, they both really loved these stickers. They will be put to good use, for sure.

Sylvanas Funko POP! – Value – $10.79

It’s Lady Sylvanas from World of Warcraft! Which is yet another game my kids don’t play, haha. Despite this, they are still completely stoked to add her to their Funko POP! collection.

Verdict: I still think 1Up Box is awesome! My kids were pretty unfamiliar with every character in the box this month, but because they are still pretty young, it doesn’t really matter. It actually gets them excited to learn more about different games they haven’t tried and to put them on their wish lists. They wound up really liking their new swag anyway. I had to take guesses at many of the values, so I’m not too sure, but I think the overall value does outstrip the cost of the box by a few dollars, so I’m happy with that.

What do you think of 1Up Box?

  1. I used to subscribe to 1Up, but I cancelled because it really did seem like it was geared to children. Every game they featured this month is an adult game that would be too violent for kids. But everything is so cute that it wouldn’t be attractive to my 17 year old nephews who do play those games. Seems like a weird combo this month.

  2. Oh man – I didn’t know Funko made WOW figures. Sylvanas is one of my favorite characters!

And how cute is that shirt?

This is a fun box really – but I can see where it might not appeal to a younger crowd, I think all of the games featured in this box (except WOW) are rated M.

I think gamer boxes could be pretty difficult to curate, it’s such a wide range of people of all ages.

    • I also just saw in the information card that there is an Arthas and a Murloc option – FUNKO TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!

      • Amber! LOL!
