The Vegan Cuts Snack Box is a monthly subscription box full of vegan and natural food products and snacks.  Many of the items will be gluten free, but this box is not a dedicated gluten free box.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The box came with this information car detailing the items in the box.

Raw Rev Glo in Mixed Nuts, Caramel, and Sea Salt (1.6 oz) – Value $1.67

I normally love these (have had them in several boxes in the past) although this one seems to have partially melted and it looked weirdly wet and oily.  Still tasted good, though.

Drink Maple Pure Maple Water (12 fl oz) – Value $3.04

This is supposed to replenish electrolytes naturally and it has less sugar than coconut water.  I’m waiting to try this until some day after I exercise and feel a bit dehydrated.  I really like the idea.  And I’m super happy this isn’t an energy drink.

Choice Organic Blackberry Hibiscus (1 bag) – Value $0.34

Choice Organic Licorice Mint (1 bag) – Value $0.34

Tea is a mainstay in the Vegan Cuts Snack Box.  I was more of a fan of the blackberry hibiscus than the licorice mint, but I am not really a licorice fan when it comes to tea.

Mini Jimmybar in Super Hip Chocolate Chip – Value $1.25

I’ve had Jimmybars before, too.  This pretty much tasted like a date bar – there wasn’t much chocolate involved.

XyliChew Peppermint (12 pieces) – Value $1.99

I just ran out of gum last week so this is timely.  (Sometimes you just don’t want to mess up your lipstick to brush your teeth, but you want to freshen your breath, you know?)

Shine Organics Elevate (4.22 oz) – Value $2.08

Shine Organics Purify (4.22 oz) – Value $2.08

I think it was the Elevate that we had in a previous box.  I like these (as much as it is possible for me to like pouch snacks) because they don’t taste like vegetables but they do include vegetables.  (No links because these seem to be out of stock just about everywhere online.  They are supposedly available at Target stores, though.)

Clean Daily Shake in Vanilla (1.05 oz) – Value $2.71

This is another repeat item.  I used last month’s in smoothies and I plan to do the same with this one.  It doesn’t have a strong flavor so it blends with pretty much anything.

Pipcorn in Truffle (0.8 oz) – Value $0.80

This is tiny pieces of popcorn.  It tasted good.  The truffle flavor was mild (which means no bad breath).  I am not sold on the idea of tiny snacks, though.  I think I like larger pieces.  But this brand was new to me.

Kettle Brand Potato Chips in Sea Salt (2 oz) – Value $0.98

I love potato chips.  They are my junk food of choice.  Always a win for me.

Nature Addicts Fruit Sticks in Apple Raspberry (1.06 oz) – Value $1.33

I like getting vegan fruit snacks – no gelatin!  These had a generic fruity flavor and were mostly made from apple, and they had a nice level of chewiness without being sticky.

Organic Living Superfoods Organic Raw Sprouted Buffalo Almonds and Ranch Cashews (1 oz) – Value $2.85

Nuts are second to potato chips for me.  These were very good.  And spicy.  And bad-breath-inducing.  They didn’t have the texture of raw nuts (that I’m used to from Graze) but they are raw and sprouted.  These were a hit!

Rawr Bar in Aloha Squash (0.46 oz) – Value $1.42

We had this in another flavor in a past box.  Low calories and a good way to get veggies without feeling like you’re eating veggies.  So these would probably appeal to kids.

The box came with a coupon and also a promotional deal for the Purple Carrot, a vegan meal prep subscription.  (Check out my review of The Purple Carrot here.)

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $22.88 for this month’s Vegan Cuts Snack Box.   That’s pretty close to the value of the box and a fairly typical value for a food box.  There were a fair number of repeats in there, but that is usually the case with Vegan Cuts.  And there were a lot of new discoveries, as well.

What do you think of the April 2016 Vegan Cuts Snack Box?

I’m interested in hearing how that Maple water is! It looks interesting.
