Here's the little pamphlet with all of the information about the artisans and products, along with a fragrant sprig of lavender (perfect for spring!), and a cute little Happy Mother's Day note.

Juniper Tree 1.5 oz. Lavender Bath Scrub - $1.20

Unfortunately, this scrub leaked in transit.  The tape that was used to keep the container closed didn't hold, and all of the oil spilled out.  There was a bit of scrub left, so I tried it out and I really liked it!

Glitterpress Mama Card - $6.00?

This is a beautiful card.  I can't find this company online, so I went ahead and estimated it based on cards that I think are comparable, like the Papyrus brand cards at Target.  This one is a bit more simple in design, but the paper is beautiful, and the gold embossing is also beautiful.  The card also has little die cut hearts that you can throw into the envelope!

Clamue Facial Mask - $3.99

This is a sheet mask with black charcoal, goat milk extract, pearl powder, and diamond powder added for brightening.  I haven't had the 20 minutes needed to leave it on while laying down (I can't keep them on well while standing - so it's a good excuse to relax), but I am looking forward to trying it out.

Juniper Tree Artisan Soap - $6.00

This soap is beautiful and it smells amazing.  I wish I could tell which scent I received, but whatever it is, it's fabulous!  I enjoyed using this soap (even though the little bits of flowers obviously came off pretty immediately), and I didn't think it was drying like a lot of bar soaps can be.

Gal Violet Lip Balm by Kalastyle - $6.50

This smells fabulous.  It almost smells fruity and floral at the same time.  It reminds me quite a bit of the rose salve that many companies produce these days.  The tin for this balm is gorgeous as well!

Milk and Dark Sea Salt Caramels by Katie's Candies - $5.00

My absolute all time favorite chocolates are sea salt caramels, so you can imagine me pulling these out of the box.  These are amazing friends.  The caramel is nice and chewy - not too hard, but not too gooey either, and the chocolate is so good.  The sea salt on top is perfectly sized and adds a nice crunch!

Verdict: The value of this TinselBox is $28.69, which is great, in my opinion!  I really loved everything included in the box, and I think it is a PERFECT box for Mother's Day.  If you want to nab this one for yourself or your Mama, be sure to order by May 3rd, so you can get in on this one.  The only bummer was the scrub leaking, but it was a small complaint, and I am going to add some extra oil to the remaining sugar to see if I can't salvage some more of it!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

This box is beautiful! However, I think if I was a subscriber, I would be confused. I thought this box was supposed to send more decor-type items. I think a banner, or a faux floral centerpiece and some beautiful paper goods would have been great for a mother’s day brunch.

“TinselBox is a subscription service that sends holiday or seasonal decor items for decorating your home, in addition to homemade goods for pampering from time to time. ”

I didn’t look at the website – however I read that line and was like, “Oh great I love seasonal décor, can’t wait to see what’s in this box!” but then I scrolled down to see and was pretty disappointed.

For one – I’m not a mother – so if I was a subscriber I’d be less than thrilled with the overall Mother’s Day theme, despite the fact that most of the items can be used by people other than a mother – just the display kind of irks me.

Also – I get no sense of seasonal décor…AT ALL. It’s MOSTLY homemade items for pampering purposes so I don’t think the “time to time” description isn’t accurate (again not sure if it’s wording from their actual website or just for the purpose of this review).

I think overall if I was a subscriber I’d be confused and disappointed.
