Rent the Runway has begun their new Unlimited subscription! (I believe there still is a waitlist, but they recently opened it up). It’s a designer rental service – think Le Tote, but higher-end. You pay a monthly fee and as long as you’re subscribed you can rent up to three items of designer clothing and accessories, and can swap out any of or all three items at a time for new ones. However many items you send back is how many new items you will be sent next. (Rent the Runway takes care of dry cleaning.)
The items come in a zip-up, fold-out garment bag on hangers, which are yours to keep. Also inside, in a zipper pocket, is your return shipping label and a little plastic lock to loop into the zippers when you ship things back.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Trina Turk Grey Alesia Pullover – retail: $298 ($50 a la carte rental)
I love this sweater! It was so soft and it felt new to me. The pink geometric shapes were a mix of embroidery, beading, and sequins. I wore this as much as I could before returning it. I so wanted to buy it, but even with the 30% off that subscribers get to keep items, the price was just way too high for me to consider.
Sachin & Babi Abstract Khan Jumpsuit – retail: $450 ($70 a la carte rental)
Okay, so this is WAY out of my comfort zone, but I thought it looked pretty, and I’ve never ever tried on a jumpsuit before, so I just kind of thought “why not??” I love that it ties to emphasize the waist. I actually like it! It felt so comfortable. It was completely lined and so soft on my skin. I don’t have anywhere I would ever wear this, but it was fun to try!
Loeffler Randall Floral Mini Rider Bag – retail: $425 ($65 a la carte rental)
This bag is so cute! I love the watercolor floral-like print. There’s a few extra little pockets, and the quality feels nice.
I think the lining is really cute, too! Love the polka dots.
Verdict: This was my favorite Rent the Runway yet! I loved that sweater so much, and I got a chance to try something I never would on my own. It’s expensive, but you have to consider the value you’re getting from it – I think, practically, this is a subscription perfect for people who either already spend a lot on designer clothes each month, and/or have a lot of black tie/formal events to attend, or like to have an ever-changing wardrobe an never wear the same thing twice.
