Miniature Wire Tree with African Jade Stones – Value $30 (?)
African jade is apparently associated with good fortune. Ms. Carpenter is much better with wire than I will ever hope to be – there are no pointy or jagged edges at all. I think this will look nice on my bookshelf at work. This was not available in the NouveauTique shop but there were some other small trees priced about the same.
“Make a Wish” Wire Word Sculpture – Value $20 (?)
This value is a total guess since there were no comparable items in the NouveauTique shop. You are supposed to hang this with ribbon. I have an idea of where this will go in my house, and I think I will use the purple ribbon from the necklace box to hang it (see below).
I took several pictures of the packaging for this item – it is quite nice.
Lucky Horseshoe Necklace – Value $24 (?)
This is also not available in the NouveauTique shop, but there are some similar pieces. This has rose gold Swarovski pearls and sterling silver filled chain. It is delicate and just the sort of jewelry I gravitate towards.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $74 for the March NouveauTique subscription box. The pieces are unique and I appreciate the craftsmanship that went into working with the wire. I like that the value was fairly evenly distributed among the items in the box and I think the packaging was lovely. If you like the style of NouveauTique pieces, you are definitely getting a good deal with this subscription, since similar items would cost much more than $40 if purchased individually.
What do you think of NouveauTique monthly box? Do you subscribe to any artisan or handmade jewelry boxes?
