LWF4

Banana Bar by Nutryttiva - $1.03

The jury is out a bit on this bar.  I tried it with some friends, and the consensus was the taste was good (but it leaned more toward overripe banana than just-perfect-banana), but the texture was too weird to be a bar.  It needed to be like a fruit jerky type texture to be great.  The 18 month old in the tasting audience liked it though!  The one I received is just two ingredients:  Banana and Lime juice!

Fruit Snacks by Tasty Brand - $0.99

These are really good fruit snacks, but the price reflects that for sure!  You get 5 packs for $4.99 and they're kind of small packs.  They are diary and gluten-free, plus they are vegan.  They also have electrolytes (!) and are GMO free.

Green Tea Latte Candy by Bali's Best - $0.10

These were really good!  They aren't too sweet, but the flavor was so unusual for a hard candy that I loved them.

Chocolate Chip Biscotti by Biscotti by Suzi - $1.00

This was really tasty!  I do like a good biscotti every now and again, it's a deliberately crunchy cookie for your coffee or tea...how can you complain when you get to eat a cookie for breakfast?

LWF5

Gluten-Free Waffle by Honey Stinger - $0.94

This was so good.  I love these stroopwafel type things I keep getting in my boxes - bring 'em on!  This one was cinnamon flavored and it was delicious.  These are also gluten-free!

Blueberry Acai Flax Oatmeal Fruit Squeeze by Munk Pack - $2.50

This was really good, and it is pretty good for you!  It has 4 grams of fiber, 550 mg Omega-3, and real fruit. This would be an awesome light breakfast when you're on the go, or a nice filling snack in between meals!

LWF6

Laiki Black Rice Crackers - $1.25

I think I got another version of these in my Love with Food box last month, but I like these ones just as much as I liked the others.  They're almost buttery tasting, but they only have rice, oil, and salt in them.  I really like these, and will probably purchase some for snacks throughout the week!

Coconut Oil Kettle Cooked Potato Chips by Boulder Canyon - $1.00

These were great chips!  Very crispy, and the coconut oil flavor wasn't too strong.

Verdict:  This Love with Food Box has a value of about $8.81, which is a little under the cost of the box if you pay month to month.  When I opened it and looked through it though, I wouldn't have guessed the value to be that low, so I think I am happy with the value here.  I enjoyed all of my items, and there was a nice blend of savory and sweet, which I love!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Isn’t this the sub that donates a meal to an American family with each box purchase? If so, it’s worth mentioning as that does add value to the box and is a good reflection on the company.

I also subbed to this for the 3 month deal making each box approximately $6. I still don’t really feel I am getting my money’s worth. I also subscribe to SnackSack, which is higher, but I always feel much more satisfied and the sizes are much better than the the tiny ones from LWF.

Not impressed with this box. My three year old, who eats everything, told me the fruit squeeze was ‘yucky and to throw it out.’

I also feel a bit bummed by the boxes this month. I loved February’s so much I subscribed to both the tasting box and the deluxe box (I used a coupon on the 3 month tasting subscription and they were less than $6 per box). I wasn’t super impressed with March but not nearly as disappointed as this month. My husband and I hate the banana bars and he absolutely loves bananas. I also agree that there are way too many tiny sample sizes (such as the tea candies this month). I subscribed to Love With Food on and off last year and also still feel like I’m seeing some similar items. I’m sure there’s only so many companies and flavors so there are bound to be repeats but it just feels like some boxes are wonderful and some are so bad I wish I just had my extra money to use at the grocery store. I love the cause and have one more box in my 3 month tasting subscription so we’ll see. I may go ahead and cancel my deluxe because I’d rather put my $20 toward graze or some other snack service where I have more control and will enjoy the whole box.

Agreed, the snacks do not taste that great. I even tried to give them to my friend who likes healthly foods and she was not impressed. I originally subscribed for 3 months so that I could find healthy dye free snacks for my son who has a allergy but he definetly does not like anything. I love coconut but also got that wierd filmy aftertaste that I could not get past. Cancelling when my subscription is up. :/

I was so disappointed with this box. I have been back and forth on Love with Food. Like the concept, dislike the actual boxes for the most part. There’s just too many snacks I don’t like. I’m not a fan of bananas at all. I was excited to try the coconut oil chips but they had an aftertaste. I did like the crackers and the stroop waffle, but the rest was meh.

I unsubscribed the first time because it was too heavy on the sweets and only resubscribed because of the awesome deal. After this box, I went ahead and set it to unsubscribe again. Still too heavy on the sweets and just too many things that don’t taste very good.

I canceled mine this month, so disappointed that I keep getting 2 tiny candies, or tea or coffee mix and they count towards the items received. Even with the deal it’s a $1 an item, so after the 3 months it would be more per item, not worth packets, tea bag or a candy. The value just hasn’t been there. Other than that, it was cool to try some new snacks, just wish they hadn’t of done that. I did do a mystery box too, they had lots of items, but the also used the same tiny items or packets.

I recieved the Deluxe box and I did not get very much variety. I did not get the biscotti, fruit snacks or the jerky that was in some of the other boxes….. I think if you live in the West you end up recieving the leftovers which is disappointing.

Did you check the contents of your box against the info card? Once mine was off and CS was very nice about making it up to me.
