Bullymake Box is a monthly subscription box for power chewers.  You all have heard about (and seen) some of Nyx’s exploits with plush toys from dog subscription boxes so when I heard about this one, I had to sign up immediately.  Nyx is definitely a power chewer!  You pick your dog’s weight in 10-pound increments so this is a box for an 80-pound dog (Nyx weighs about 84 right now).

My Subscription Addiction paid for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: Bullymake Box

The Cost:  $39 a month (save with 3, 6, and 12 month subscriptions)

COUPON: Save $5 off your first box by joining their mailing list (it was a pop-up when I visited the site).

The Products:  Toys and treats specifically tailored for heavy chewing dogs (no plushes).  You can also choose a “toys only” box.  Because of Nyx’s dietary issues, I went with the “toys only” box.  You can also enter specific allergy information in a box on the checkout screen.

Ships to: USA (free!)

Check out lots of great boxes for dogs in the Pet Subscription Box Directory and make sure to add Bullymake Box to your subscription list or wishlist!

Note: This box did not come with an information card but it is pretty heavily customized so I would not expect a card.

JW Pet Company Invincible Chains (large double) – Value $11.55

JW Pet Company Cyberbone (large) – Value $8.77

I’ll talk about both of these together.  We’ve had a lot of JW Pet Company toys in the past and they have been super durable.  We have one of the rings by itself (as opposed to a two-ring chain) and I can leave it alone with Nyx without her destroying it.  And the Cyberbone has a good texture that makes it easy for Nyx to pick up (she doesn’t like toys where she can’t get a grip so they slide along the carpet).  So these were wins.

Multipet TPR Ball with 3 Ropes – Value $7.99

This will be a chew toy for Nyx rather than a tug toy, since the ropes are short.  She will love it.  (She hasn’t played with everything yet.  You all see how many dog boxes I review.  She gets one toy every day or two, generally.)

Multipet Nuts for Knots (large) – Value $6.99

Nyx thought this was great.  It was a little short for tugging (ideally a tug toy would be a bit longer and have three knots instead of two) but we made it work.  And she did love gnawing on it.

Ruff Dawg Ruff Bone (large, turkey-flavored) – Value $7.99

We haven’t tried this one yet, either.  Nyx definitely loves this type of toy, though.  She has been through many flavored Nylabone products in her day.  I have heard this brand might not be as strong as Nylabone, but we will see.  (Of course I always supervise Nyx with new toys!)

Here is Nyx picking at the rope.  She managed to loosen a few threads but wasn’t able to bite off or swallow anything.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $43.29 for the March 2016 Bullymake Box.   This is higher than the cost of the subscription on a month-to-month basis and the toys are all size-appropriate, so I’m happy.  (Seriously, what is it with “large” dog boxes sending out tiny toys?)  And good to know: I am pretty sure I have not received a duplicate item yet.  Similar items, yes, but selection is limited for power chewer-approved toys.

Also, for what it’s worth, Bullymake Box accidentally sent me two boxes this month, one about a week after the other.  I contacted their customer service in the evening and had a reply by the next day (basically they told me to keep the extra box).  This is the first interaction I’ve had with their customer service and I was pleased with it.

What do you think of the March 2016 Bullymake Box? Do you subscribe to any dog or cat boxes?

Maybe you got my box. I made a year subscription on February 25th 2016. They billed me that night for the full year. They did have good service in the fact they worked with me and let me make quarterly payments for the year. The problem I have now is that it has been almost two months and I have not received a box yet. I can no longer talk to them on the phone and have to wait for responses through e-mail which can be frustrating. I was so happy to read about the service because I have a bulldog that just destroys his toys. I am hoping they can turn around their service quickly or I am going to do what I can to get all of my money back. I really hope that I am the only person that has had these issues

We really loved our March Bullymake Box – we do not have the toys only option. We have the treats included! 🙂 Thanks for the review.
