These were really good! I wasn't sure what to expect since I couldn't read the packaging, but they were quite similar to M&Ms with a cream center. Why hasn't this been a thing before now?! I feel like I've missed out.
Japanese DIY Mango Jelly Kit
We had to figure out how to make this one, since all of the packaging is in Japanese. My friends got all genius on me and went to Google Translate to figure out how to make it! It was OK, but I think we all know that the appeal of these isn't taste - it's the fun you have making them.
These were really good - I ate about 1/3 of the tube before I realized what I was doing. I love the Sunkist Fruit Gems though, so these were right up my alley!
Japanese Bouquet Suckers
These are itty bitty suckers, but they're super cute! I love the packaging, and that you won't be sitting there for hours with the same sucker. I think they were melon flavored, but I can't be too sure.
Karaoke Microphone Candy
These candies are a bit effervescent, and they taste a bit like bubblegum. You could definitely hide contraband in this microphone - like you might even be able to smuggle some short knitting needles on a plane!
Vero Elote sucker with Chili
This was a flashback to Jr. High School. We ate these suckers so often that it is amazing we didn't burn a hole in our stomach or something. This one was good, but my tastes have changed as I've gotten older, and I don't enjoy these as much as I used to!
Japanese Teddy Pops
These were pretty good! The candy itself is shaped like a little bear, and the flavor is good. I have the rest in my purse to snack on when I need something sweet, but not full of calories!
Verdict: This was my first shipment of BoCandy, and I really like it so far! There's a pretty good mixture of items, and they're all really fun. I didn't do a value judgement of this box since many of the items are hard to come by in the US. If you like trying new candy from other countries, I think you should give this box a try! It is important to note that there are variations in what you will receive, so if you sign up, you might not get the same things as I do!
Do you get BoCandy? What did you get in your box this month?
