Each box comes with a fold out card detailing the product including and why it is a “hero.” They also detail the ingredients, benefits or “superpowers” of those ingredients, and provide details on the brand.
Pacific Signature Face Oil (Value $28)
I’ve sampled the Pacific line once before thanks to a subscription box and my takeaway was that this brand is very expensive, but smells amazing and works well. This serum fits that description – and a little goes a long way, too, so I should be able to use it for weeks.
Pacific Exfoliating Moisture Mask (Value $90)
The hero item this month is this mask. It is made with Lactic Acid, and designed to exfoliate, brighten and condition your skin in 2-5 minutes. (I love a 5-minute or under mask!)
When I first tried this mask, I realized I made a mistake of cleansing my face with an exfoliating scrub first. I think my skin was a little too raw for the mask – and it caused some irritation. I tried it again, this time after using a gentle cleanser, and had no issues. So, just a head’s up in case you have sensitive skin! Here is a look at the mask:
Verdict: This month’s box has a value of $118. I think that’s great since it is over double the cost and features a full-size item. In this case, I’m really excited to be able to sample two more items from the Pacific brand. The mask hasn’t completely wowed me yet, but I’m going to see if that changes over time. For now, I won’t be purchasing it again, but I’m happy to have a full-size version to try. And the serum sample is a good size, too!
I really like that Beauty Heroes exposes me to new natural and organic beauty brands, and it’s great to try out a full-size item and you don’t have to worry about product overload either!
