  1. Anyone live in the NYC area? I called around to a few of the local WF and no one said they received them yet. Actually popped into a store this morning and they said they still are not sure if they are in receiving or not but hope to have them out sometime this week. I don’t want to miss out!

  2. I purchased two yesterday morning and received a 25% discount as well. Each bag was $11.25 before taxes.

    • Lucky you the cashier rang it up wrong! The promotion wasn’t suppose to apply to the bags.

  3. So, in addition to getting two of the beauty bag yesterday I put my name in a raffle box and guess what? They call me last night and I won this huge basket of natural beauty products too! I’m going this afternoon to pick it up. I didn’t even pay that much attention to what was in it since I never win that kind of stuff. I’m so excited!

    • That’s Great! WF has been very generous to its customers this weekend. Happy for you!

  4. I got 2 with the intention of putting one up for swap but after seeing how awesome they are and that the lining varies and each pattern is so cute I don’t think I can let either of them go. Also, my husband works for the company so we get a discount making them only $12 each. Score! Love these brands.

  5. Love everything about Whole Foods, couldn’t wait to get this bag. Didn’t realize it wouldn’t go out till 10am – had to wait for it almost an hour. Was worth the wait !
Just tried the Cleansing Milk , the facial scrub and a serum. Earlier today I used the Burts Bees lipstick & the facial mist.
I am a Cosmetic junkie, having worked in the industry for many years. Everything in this bag is top notch !
    I

  6. My report from Western Connecticut: the bags were nicely displayed on a table at the end of the beauty aisle near the registers; by 10:30 or so they only had 7 of the 22 remaining. The beauty aisle worker in my store was also excited about the beauty bag; however she told me this may be the last time they do a beauty bag. (?) I bought one for a friend, too, and I can’t wait to give her this bag — the sign said $80 value!!! Beauty products are all 25% off this weekend at WF, thank you Whole Foods! and THANK YOU, LIZ !!!

  7. So excited to try all these samples and really pleased with the bag itself! I love, love, love the Weleda hand cream and am really hoping it will help minimize my dryness and cracking.

  8. I called my WF yesterday to find out if they’d be putting the bags out at 10a or when the store opened and they told me they would wait until 10a so I got there at about 9:50 and there was already a line so I got into it.

My store got in 22 bags and she opened the box and took them out in front of us. She was super nice and opened all the bags so we could pick based on the design inside the bag since there were quite a few different designs but the outside of the bags were all the same (a charcoal gray color not the pretty brown in the photo above). Anyhow~ I snagged a bag and they were all sold out by 10:05 in Seattle.

Super happy with this purchase thanks for the heads up! I will use everything which is rare and it’s just such a great value for what I got!

    • Stopped by a WF north of Seattle and they were gone well before 5pm :/

  9. About 7-8 bags available in the beauty corner at the entrance in the edge water New Jersey store as of 5:30 pm Friday .. Happy shopping 🙂

  10. Fyi 2 left at 3:30 pm in Austin TX store on 360 and 183. Not in the beauty aisle but on a rack next to the scone/cookie case.

  11. I stopped by my local Whole Foods around noon and they were sold out. Said that they did not get many. Very disappointing. Guess I will have to get there when they open in the future.

  12. Snagged one at DTLA Wholefoods, only a few left when I was there at 11:45 am. Please with everything in the kit, can’t wait to try them all!

  13. Got mine just before 9am at the Tanasbourne location in Oregon. This store opened at 8am and they were located on an end cap in the beauty aisle. I didn’t count how many there were but maybe like 15-20? So excited! The items in these are awesome and a lot of them are products I’ve heard lots of buzz about so thanks Liz!!

  14. I grabbed one from the Orange County California store at 11:30am PDT. They were hidden in a box in the beauty aisle and I had to ask the sales lady for one. There were only three bags left in the box.

  15. I showed up at 10 am and my whole foods was all sold out, i’m kinda bummed…
Although since it is “beauty week” they did have the juice beauty and derma-e vendors there handing out coupons and a couple samples!
Also, at my store all of the face products were 25% off! I ended up picking up a juice beauty hydrating mist… I tried it out in the store and loved it! So refreshing ♡
I may just have to show back up tomorrow and see what other vendors are going to be there!

  16. YES! I got it! So excited. I was literally the last person. I’m really excited to try to MyChelle Vitamin C serum – I’m trying to replace all my skincare with natural brands and have been dying for a vit c serum to love. Fingers crossed! what a great deal!

  17. I stopped by my store on the way back from driving hubby to work and there were plenty of bags, I’d say more than 30 for sure at around 10 am. Grabbed just one, letting other local ladies enjoy this nice deal:) I’m in SFBA.

  18. For anyone in my neck of the woods, Harry’s Farmer’s Market in Marietta had about 6 left as of 2PM. (If you don’t know what Harry’s Farmer’s Market is, you’re not in my neck of the woods…)

  19. I just got one at my local Whole Foods around 1:15 PM. Not sure how many they started with, but there were only 3 left when I got there. Excited to try out these 9 items!

  20. Got mine! It’s really a great bag of stuff. They had them in the back and weren’t putting them out. Our WF is tiny, one of the first in Chicago way back in the 90’s. The guy that brought it out said “you’re the first one!” I think it’s an ‘insiders only’ at my WF. So, thanks Liz for posting this!

    • Yay! ?

  21. I just bought one for myself and an extra. I put the extra up for swap just now if anyone is interested. This is an outstanding bag for $15. Nine great items and I will use all of them.

    • I am very interested my closest WF is over 2 hours away, I have never swapped but I belong to many subscription boxes so have plenty of stuff! Or I would be willing to purchase at a premium for your hassle, please let me know.

  22. I purchased two this morning before work. You may want to check the bags before you purchase them because I was missing an item (the charcoal mask in one bag and mascara in another) in each bag. I was in the parking lot when I noticed so I went back in the store and they exchanged them. I’m very impressed with this bag. It’s $80 worth of products.

  23. I just called my whole foods in Cherry Hill, NJ and they said tmrw morening when they open they will go on sale and the lady in the beauty dept asked for my name and said she would put one aside for me specifically.

  24. I stopped by this morning and was told that they could not put the bags out before 3/18. They said that they have them already in the back and that they only received 22 bags. There will be a display and they will be ready to purchase when the store opens at 8am (My store is located in Greenville, SC).

  25. So was it just the one person who got this early? Because I can stop by to get one on my way home to take Nyx out in a bit — it’s not really out of the way — but there’s not much point if it isn’t going to be in the store. (My closest store does respond to Tweets but it takes them a day or two…)

    • Ok I haven’t been in a WF in years but I’m stepping in for THIS, but are they out early? Maybe it was just one random store?

      • I’m thinking what happened is kind of like what happens at bookstores. Books are supposed to come out on Tuesday but I would sometimes see new releases at Barnes and Noble on the Friday before. Someone at the store just opened the box and stuck the stuff on the shelf without paying attention to release date.

  26. So excited for this! Thanks MSA for these great heads ups!

    • 🙂

  27. Got mine today! Love all the samples and can’t wait to try the scrub tomorrow morning along with mascara and Burts beeeees!

    • Oooh, how did you get it so early? Did you call your store or just pop in & ask? Inquiring mind(s) want to know!

    • Wow, early release? Can I ask which Whole Foods you shop? I don’t want to miss this.

  28. I just had an awesome thought. How cool if WF did a foodie bag too?

  29. I would love to grab this, but I have one of those job things that requires me to start at about 830-9am, which I can’t just leave for Whole Foods at 10am for a bag. What are they thinking with this start day/time? I’m guessing they are targeting this to a certain crowd that don’t have to be at work at 10am on a weekday?
    How strange…
I look forward to seeing everyone else get this, though. There is a WF within 1 mile of my house, but I walk in the opposite direction for work :-/

    • These are usually around for most of the day, if not into the next couple of days after they go on sale. You shouldn’t have any trouble unless you live in a super high-traffic location or your local store doesn’t get very many.

      • Ok, thanks for the note… I’ll give it a try, but I live in a busy city location, so I was not too optimistic that any would be left my the evening or the next day! Fingers crossed that maybe they put them out late, haha 🙂

        • *by the evening

      • I do live in a busy city location, so I was not optimistic that they would even be available by the evening, or Saturday afterwards because it gets crazy in there. But I will give it a shot – thanks for your note!
(also my responses aren’t posting – this is my 2nd try, so apologies if it’s a duplicate)

      • That’s good to know! I have the same work issue. Starting before 8 am!

  30. So excited for this. I was wondering when they were coming out with a new bag.

When I bought one in the past, it was on a table near the other beauty aisles. And just a heads up, on the last one the barcode was on a tag that they tucked inside of the bag. The checker kept looking at the bag confused, which is why I mention it.

    • That’s funny, my cashier had the same issue with the tag. I had to tell him it was inside the bag 🙂

  31. Bummer…. Ours isn’t going to be done and opened until 2017. They demolished and are re developing a plaza here. $75million project with $15 million for store. Exciting is its predicted to need 200 employees so that will be great for the area. Lots of people where upset as an old Bon Ton building was used at Halloween time for freight world, which last year did find a new location to hold it. I say don’t bother to be upset it provides way more jobs. I have never been to a whole foods , is it really as great as people say?????? They faught for years to get Trader Joes here…..the location is the worst added into a plaza where the area really has noooo parking. So people go to a lot across the street. This whole foods chose an Amazing location so no doubt they will bring the customers.

    • I find that their pastas and canned beans are the cheapest around. If you buy in season and shop only what you need and sale stuff it can be as good if not better then a Safeway and less plastic on veggies than Trader Joes. Enjoy your new WF!

      • I agree, WF gets a bad rap on prices. If you shop the 365 everyday values and don’t get overwhelmed with some of the exclusive items you can get out cheaper than a regular grocery store. I find them cheaper for spices than anywhere else.

        • Yeah, I shop there every week. You just have to know what to look for. Big bags of walnuts, pecans, almonds, etc., are usually cheaper than Publix (if you get the store brand nuts). They have store brand hazelnut flour for half the price of elsewhere. For some organic brands (e.g., Muir Glen canned tomatoes), their prices beat regular supermarkets (at least when they go on sale, which is frequently). They also have some unusual grains in the bulk section that are hard to find elsewhere, and I like the peanut butter grinding machines.

  32. Hi Liz! You live near Pittsburgh, right? If so, have you ever found these at the WF in Wexford?

    • Yes – the Wexford Whole Foods is my Whole Foods of choice! 🙂 I haven’t made it out there for a beauty bag event, though. Sorry I don’t have more info for you! 🙁

  33. I’m going to try to get one… but my only Whole Foods is about 45 min away 🙁
Might have to see if my aunt in a different state can grab one for me like last time, she drives by one all the time.
Looks like a good selection of products and I love discovering new brands and products (and that lipstick shade looks like it might actually work on me! )
Thanks for the heads up Liz!

  34. Somebody get meeeeeeee one!!! My closest WF is an hour away!

  35. Would love to get this, really wish I could buy online!! I will try to remember the date, will mark it on my calendar. 🙂

    • I have the entire last bag for swap on my page if anyone is interested.

  36. For those of you who have purchased this in the past, where is it located in the store?

    • At mine (NE Portland, OR), it was on it’s own table in the middle of like a transition area between the produce to the deli/bakery. Not near the aisles, but near where they have gift stuff, kitchen stuff etc.

      • Oh hi! I’m in Portland as well and usually shop at the one in Tualatin (Bridgeport Village). I find them piled up near the health and beauty section, but sometimes I really have to search. If you go the same day they’re available, you might have to ask an employee because they’re not always put on display right away.

    • I bought one before in Scottsdale, AZ and it was at the font in between the registers.

  37. Does anybody know if any of this is suitable for very dry sensitive skin? Items from Acure and Derma E are clearly for oily acne prone skin. Evanhealy item says for combination skin; C serum probably won’t work for sensitive skin either.
There is Whole foods close to me but looks like I’m going to pass:(

    • I have dry sensitive skin and I really love the Acure line. If you can get yout hands on samples, I’d give them a try 🙂

    • I gave a friend with extremely sensitive skin an extra sample of the Perfect C Serum that I had (it helps with my eczema) and she loved it. She went out and bought the full size before she’d even used up the sample. She has to be really careful with the types of soaps, lotions, shampoos and conditioners she uses because most skincare items will break her out. You really don’t need much of it

      • Thank you for detailed answer, I will try to get one then!)

    • Hey Elena, the Trilogy rosehip oil will be really good for dry and sensitive skin. A little goes a long way; I’ve used it before.

      • Also looking at the Dr. Hauschka and Evan Healy products – the Dr. H item is made for dry skin and Evan Healy’s hydrosol is very gentle (even if it states for combo skin, it’s fine for dry too!). So you should be fine with at least half of the bag! I’m looking forward to picking one up this weekend!

  38. Awesome! I just bought that very shade of Burt’s Bees lipstick a couple of weeks ago and it is so pretty, a great shade for spring, and smells delicious! I’ll have to make a trip to Whole Foods that day. I’m psyched to try everything else, too. Looks like their best bag yet to me.

  39. I will be purchasing this! I shop at Whole Foods a lot anyway 🙂

  40. Ohhhh…. I wish I could order this online.

    • I know! It kills me since my closest Whole Foods is about 45 minutes away!

      • I have two locations less than 15 minutes from my house…

        • I have one 20 mins from my house, and the another about 10-15 mins away from my job. I was able to get a previous bag once at my home WF, but the one by my job is always busy near lunch time so I might have to make mid-morning stop.
