Wantable is a monthly subscription service that has 3 different plans: Makeup, Accessories, and Intimates. (Plus a styling service for Fitness wear and clothing similar to Stitch Fix in the try-then-buy model.) It’s one of the pricier subscriptions ($40 a month), but everything they send is full size, and they fully customize the boxes based on your preferences. You also can return individual items from any box for a refund.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
The Subscription Box: Wantable Makeup
The Cost: $40 a month (keep everything, and get a $4 credit to your next box).
The Products: Makeup, nail polish and tools based on your profile settings.

Here is my invoice. In addition to the retail price of the item, they also include “your price,” which is how much you would get refunded if you wanted to return that item.
You get to take a very detailed survey of what items you love, like and dislike. You won’t receive anything in your dislike list. Here’s how my personal preferences are set up. Also, your stylist can send you notes or respond to comments you’ve added to your profile.
Spellbound Nail Lacquer in Pandora – value: $14 (my price: $6.29)
This is a gorgeous shade of nail polish! It’s perfect for spring! Plus, I like Spellbound polishes so I’m happy to get this.
Colorscience Brush Cleaner – value: $17 (my price: $7.64)
I was happy to see this! I really like when makeup subscription provide tools and things relevant to makeup other than actual makeup sometimes! Brush cleaners are really important and I’m really glad this one comes with a spray.
Mineral Hygienics Brow Powder in Golden Oak – value: $12 (my price: $5.39)
This brow powder is really nice, actually. It’s very pigmented and even works well as an eyeshadow, too!
Liptini Lipstick in Glamour Girl – value: $18 (my price: $8.09)
Their website describes this shade as “wine brown,” which I would say is pretty accurate. It’s a great color. I like it.
Here’s swatches of the brow powder and the lipstick.
Doucce Cheek Blush in #51, Cinnibar Island – value: $28 (my price: $12.58)
I requested this blush in Wantable’s stream and my stylist threw it in my box this month. It’s a nice blush and it makes me glad to hear she pays some attention to the items I request.
Here’s a better look at the blush. It’s a very pretty and versatile pink that I think would work on a lot of skin tones.
And here’s the blush swatched.
So, here’s my look with the blush, lipstick, and brow powder – however I decided to use it as an eye shadow. I like the color and pigmentation of it a lot and I thought I would get more use out of it as a shadow because I prefer brow pencils myself (though I totally forgot to do my brows in this look… whomp whomp).
Verdict: I like my Wantable Makeup box more this month than I have in a while! The total value comes out to $89, too, which is great. I definitely found some new brands and products I’m glad to have!
