TEA BOX EXPRESS MARCH 2016 - INFO

Each box comes with a card that describes the month’s theme and the items in the box.

TEA BOX EXPRESS MARCH 2016 - items 1

Hastings Sugar Spoon – value: $4.90

This is a cute little spoon. It’s practical – the little spout on the side is handy.

Paper Tea Filters - ~20 ct, value: $1.40

This is cute! I actually think I really like this method of using disposable paper tea filters much better than the usual loose leaf infusers. Probably because less clean up, maybe? I’m looking forward to trying these.

TEA BOX EXPRESS MARCH 2016 - items 2

Modern Tea Girl Sugar Melange Pure Amber and White Rock Sugar – 6 oz, value: $9

I haven’t tried this kind of sugar before, but it looks pretty, so I think it would be cool for a little tea/coffee “center” in my kitchen.

Sticky Fingers Irish Soda Bread – 15 oz, value: $5.99

This bread is minimum effort – just mix in water and bake! I’ve decided I want to bake more often so I’m excited to have something to try out.

TEA BOX EXPRESS MARCH 2016 - items 3

Royal Irish All Natural Black Tea – 3 oz, value: $3.73

This is supposed to be a strong black tea and very well complimented with milk and sugar. I don’t usually drink my tea with milk but have been curious – I guess this is a good excuse to try it!

The Verdict: This month is an okay Tea Box Express for me. The value adds up to $26, which breaks even with the cost. I’m not particularly happy with that value, but I love this sub overall, so I’m not too bummed and am looking forward to future boxes. I think that this box tends to be more about curation and discovery than a huge value, so if you’re considering this sub, just keep that in mind.

The tea is so delicious!! Really liked this box (though I don’t think I’ll use the sugar. I am more of a honey-and-milk-in-tea type of girl myself. Am excited to make the bread! Glad to see it was good

I really want to love this box but eventually unsubbed because of the billions of tea strainers I kept getting. I love tea so have my favorite tea strainer and stick to that. It just got tiresome having to swap low-value tea strainers every month. Why not have a ‘welcome box’ that you can opt into with a cute tea strainer for your first box and then replace the strainer with some yummy cookies every month? That would be perfect for me 🙂

P.S. Wonder if I could use the term tea strainer anymore??!? Probably not – unless I was obsessed with tea strainers 😛

I NEED this box! I love tea, especially strong black tea because I like my tea with milk & sugar. That sugar looks fantastic!!! It looks a bit like the crazy-expensive sugar bits from Teavana. If this had included shortbread cookies & a tea shop mystery, it would have been my perfect afternoon, in a box!

I was really happy with this box – the tea is so yummy, and the bread was an easy, delightful treat. We made it into muffins and scones, and it lasted for several days. If you are saying this is a lower value than usual, I’m really excited for future boxes!

I think I agree with this review. Actually LOVE the tea this time. Delicious. I prefer ready to eat treats and put the mix up for swap — swapped it immediately!
