Each box comes with an info card and a Target coupon good for $3 off a beauty purchase of $15 or more. (Tip thanks to MSA readers – save these to use on future Target Beauty Boxes!)

Banana Boat Sun Comfort SPF 30 Lotion – 1 oz Value $1.70

This sunscreen lotion is a very lightweight, quick-to-absorb formula. The scent is very subtle, too. (I do love the classic sunscreen scent, though – I was hoping to get that from this!)

Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray – 2 oz Value $1.20

My hair is naturally curly/wavy, so these sea salt sprays have a less noticeable effect on me, but I can tell you it will make your hair smell like coconuts and the beach! I’ll be using it for that reason alone!

Caress Adore Forever Body Wash – 1.8 oz Value $.50

This body wash is interesting:

Caress presents a fine fragrance breakthrough with the world’s first body wash with Fragrance Release Pearls. A touch-activated technology that releases a burst of perfume every time you touch your skin, all day long.

It promises fragrance release for up to 12-hours every time you touch your skin. I’m not a huge fan of the scent or the idea so this will be passed along.

SinfulColors Professional Nail Color in Poisonberry – FULL SIZE! Value $2

(Colors may vary)

I didn’t realize Sinful Colors nail polish was so cheap! I’ve tried this brand before, and I like the formula – especially for $2 a bottle!

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask – 20 ml Value $5.50

This sleeping mask is a target exclusive. After cleansing your face, you apply the mask, leave it on overnight, and wash it off in the morning. I’ve found this to be really soothing and gentle. Here is a look at the mask:

nügg Face Mask in Anti-Aging – Value $3.30

(Mask included in Beauty Box will vary)

I first sampled nügg masks through Birchbox, and I really like them. They are gentle on my skin and relatively quick – only 5-10 minutes.

you are AMAZING Juicy Grapefruit Body Lotion – 1 oz Value $.50

This is my favorite discovery in the box! The lotion is lightweight, paraben and phthalate free, and the grapefruit scent is fresh and clean smelling!

Hair Food Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner – 20 ml total Value $.40

This shampoo is made with sulfates, and I have to avoid them in hair care products since my hair is color treated, so this set will be donated.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $15. That’s on the lower end for Target Beauty Boxes, but since this one only cost $5, I have no complaints! I’ll use almost everything, and I think the samples are all good sizes, so I’m happy!

What do you think of the latest Target Beauty Box? Were you able to grab one?

  1. Any idea why June’s BB was $10? This was my first time ordering and I was kind of disappointed. I noticed above it was mentioned to use the $3 off towards my next BB purchase but it says towards your next $15 purchase. Sorry, I’m a BB newbie.

  2. April box spoilers are ok, not great. Was hoping for some new and exciting brands.

  3. April spoilers is out finally

    • Yep! And I don’t want one, oh well saves me some money. Maybe I’ll like may better.

  4. Did I miss the Target beauty box for April? I always thought it was out by now.

    • Target changed it from a monthly box to a seasonal. No word yet on when the next box will come out. 🙁

      • Curious as to where you got this info?

        • I am curious, too, as I’d heard something different … at the link below, someone posted a chat exchange from two days ago with a Target customer support rep who claimed that there will be an April box … but he didn’t say when. The suspense is killing me! 🙂

          • Boxes are available now! Just got mine!

  5. Glad to see I’m not the only one wondering about the April Target box. They have been really regular the last few months so I was convinced that I was missing out on the April box. I keep stalking their site hoping to find one available. : )

  6. I hope they release an April box, if they do the spoilers should be out any day now they usually reveal them a few days before the box goes on sale.

    • I was hoping we would see something soon 🙂

    • I know, I’ve been checking each day for the last few days … maybe tomorrow! 🙂

    • Is there no April box?! I think I may cry!!!!

    • I’ve been waiting and waiting. I guess we will see.

    • I saw on a Reddit board that someone contacted Target and they said there WILL be an April box … but they wouldn’t give a hint as to when it would be up (or when spoilers would be up). I’m kinda wondering if they are putting some sort of twist in the timing because of April Fools’ Day … guess we’ll know before long! 🙂

    • They have had a tendency to release on Mondays the last few. I bet it’s this Monday especially since they pulled the picture of the last box from their website

      • You’re absolutely correct! It was released today! Lol! You’re very observant! Thanks!

  7. Any word on these becoming a monthly box? It seems like this was right around the day that the March box was released last month.

  8. Wow, I just finished reading all of the comments and my happy bubble just burst. I’m old enough to be judgmental, so here goes: I received baby blue and lavender ‘baby room wall paint’ nail colors in the 2 boxes I ordered, (one was a gift). However, I would never consider taking mine to a competitor to exchange, I wouldn’t even take it to Target because it’s a sample box; I didn’t consciously pay for a bottle of nail polish and receive the wrong color. No one goes to Target, or elsewhere and complains when they receive extra products, or pay less than the listed price.

This is a lot of what’s wrong with our country, this idea of entitlement. It’s a $5 box with a $3 coupon included, and $17 worth of products. Even if you don’t like half of the items, you are still way ahead.

Was picking up the rest of my beauty order at Tgt CS last week and a teen tried to return a DVD without a receipt; the disc was a different movie than the case. The ee told me “it happens all the time”. I don’t want Target to raise prices because others pull this petty stuff. We all bear the cost of this type of behavior. Sadly, as JP says “we are never satisfied”….

    • I agree wholeheartedly about returning something to another store. It’s an absolute no-no — dishonest, immoral and unethical. However, if the product is unopened I would have no qualms exchanging it at Target. You’re not ripping them off — they can still sell it. You’re getting a color you’ll wear; and if you’re anything like me, chances are while you’re there you’ll pick up something else (or maybe a few more nail polish colors).

  9. P.S. not a big deal, but the Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray 2 oz size is one of those add to cart for price: $2.99 in my cart.

Sample sizes always seen to cost more per oz, which is another reason to love subs! Cute little bottles ready for travel.

  10. As always, Target delivered a fab box. I’m in the SW and received my box approx 7 biz days ago. Think I’m in a major interstate hub, since I usually get everything pretty quickly. Walmart box shipped today, curious to receive my 1st Trendsetter since I’m lying about my age now, haha!

Stalking this site daily too. Love reading the posts; everyone provides interesting takes on the subs and helpful info on products.

    Re: Free Ship
If you don’t want another CC, you can spend $15 including this box, apply the $3 coupon and do a store pickup for the rest. My store is 10 blocks away, and I know others aren’t that lucky, but maybe a store close to work, etc. You can also have another person pick up your Target order, I’m always sending hubby when he’s running errands, but it can be anyone you want, they simply show i.d.

  11. My Target box was delayed and delayed, and now they just cancelled it. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Is there any recourse?

  12. I emailed Target about my nail polish leaking and the brush missing, and they refunded me $2.14! How nice!

  13. Has anyone not gotten their box yet? feels like its taking forever!

  14. Got the same box as you. Can’t say I’m a fan of the Grapefruit lotion. The scene reminds me of public bathroom deodorizers. There’s a hint of Grapefruit at the end of the scent when its first applied but all I’m smelling now is public bathroom.

  15. your coupon code is showing or i hope you already used it

  16. I am kind of obsessed with the Target boxes. This is the third month in a row that I have gotten one. I really like everything that comes in them and it’s a pretty good value. I love that they have different masks and stuff in them usually. I like to try out different things.

I got this really pretty shade of lavender nail polish in my box and I am pretty obsessed with it. Which I am kind of nail polish snob and usually only use like OPI or Chinaglaze so this is my first experience with the Sinful Colors. It lasted two days without a top coat before I had to touch it up, which isn’t like horrible. It would probably last a day or two longer if a top coat was applied which is about how long it takes for me to get bored of the color on my nails and need to switch it up.

  17. I just got introduced to Target boxes and now I’m hooked. I love everything and even the stuff I don’t really like I will give away. Actually does anyone know how to get off the swap waiting list? I’ve been trying to swap stuff from other boxes as well.

  18. I got my Target Box a few days ago. I, also, have the Nug mask.. the variable item.. I Absolutely Luv every product! Plus using my RedCard.. Free shipping n using a coupon from last month… I think last month… anyway I paid 2 bux total. But to me personally due to the specific products March Target Box is worth every penny of a 5 or even 7 dollar box!!!

  19. I’ve only managed to obtain one target box ever, and it was when it was $10. But I’m not too sad that I missed out on this one. Hopefully I can catch the next one at a reasonable hour (fingers cross) and it will be an awesome box.

  20. I’ve tried using the $3 coupons on the beauty boxes and they never work. Any suggestions?

    • was the purchase over $15? it should work then

  21. Haven’t gotten my box yet (we’re on vacation so it’s probably waiting for me) but I love that mask, have had good luck with that brand of nail polish, and am looking forward to the mask. I can always use sunscreen and lotion, and actually like the way grapefruit smells. I’m just getting into sea salt sprays, so I’ll try this one, too. Thanks for the warning on the shampoo/conditioner — I’ve only recently started dyeing my hair (galaxy colors, so have to be even more careful) and therefore only recently started paying attention to that kind of stuff.

  22. I received my Target beauty box yesterday as well, and I love everything in it! My nail polish is a lilac color. The nail polish had leaked a little bit, and the brush was missing! My sister got the same color though and is going to give me hers so it’s all good.

  23. Just got my box. The nail polish is Hush Honey which I would use and my Nugg mask is revitalizing one. I have a lot of young girls in my family, so I can easily gift those funky color nail polish and they love them. And I try my best to donate whatever I won’t use!

  24. I got this exact box, and I’m happy with all the but the polish. I don’t do pink of any kind, so I’ll be gifting it. I could probably exchange it, but I’d rather just give it to a friend. I have so many nail polishes already, it would be hard to find a new shade of blue/green/purple that I don’t have. Excited to try both masks!

  25. Don’t forget to remove your target coupon code.

  26. Got mine yesterday! That sleeping mask is great – I used it last night, woke up this morning and my face feels so plump and soft (I also the clay mask from the BB Stay In box which was LOVELY).

I paid .30 cents for this box because I earned a $5 gift card during my last Target trip, so this was worth it. All stuff I’ll use, the foil packets I’ll donate and I’m not too crazy about the grapefruit smell of the lotion, but it’s really a nice lotion so I’ll throw it in my purse. Got the poisonberry nail color (which is pictured in the review) – I think this brand is definitely one of the best cheap brands of polish out there. The color is nice for spring and summer!

Overall I’m pretty happy. I was hoping for the sea salt spray to be full size – it does seem like we are lacking on full size items this month…but still a good size!

  27. For me, Target boxes are like pizza. Even when they’re not the best, they’re still pretty darn good.

    • LOL! Great comparison 🙂

  28. meh. this was my first target beauty box and I was not as thrilled as I could have been about the contents, however that is just due to my super sensitive skin concerns. Though, the items will make good swaps or little add on gifts.

    • I usually have the same issue with boxes and little lotions. I’ve found though, that even if I can only use one or two things, the rest make great “oh I was thinking of you, here you go!” gifts for friends/sister/mom.

  29. I will alway love Target boxes and I am super happy that they are coming out with every month now. I got my Allure box the same time so it was like Christmas. Happy Camper over here.

    • I got my first Allure Box and first Target boxes on the same day . Very happy with both of them !

  30. I was very excited that the water mask was in there! I still have some from the last time it was in there; it seems like it goes a long way (although I don’t use it every day)! I love it!

  31. I got my box because of your timely alert. Thank you! And thanks for the heads up on the sulfates in the shampoo – I might have skipped one reading the ingredients. Nice collection – love the sleeping mask – works wonders.

    • Yep, me too … nice to know I’m not the only person who checks this site more than once a day most days! 🙂 We’ll have to start a support group for those of us who have an addiction to My Subscription Addiction…

  32. haven’t got mine yet, but I’m excited!

  33. Pretty happy with this box. Definitely worth the $5 bucks. Will use a lot of the items on the road while traveling.

  34. Thanks to you and your awesome blog I was finally able to get a Target Beauty Box. Definitely worth the $5 paid for it. I’m totally obsessed with your blog. It’s my point of reference for all things beauty / box related .

    • Agreed. I only check it like a thousand times a day. #creeperstatus

      • Lol, I’m glad I’m not the only one; I was getting worried Liz might get a restraining order. I check MSA in the morning, all day in between classes, and at night before bed. This site is as addicting as the subscription boxes 🙂

        • Me too I am a creeper. I have to check it several times a day. I love reading everyones opinion on the boxes. Thanks Liz for this site. 🙂

          • I got both of my boxes today. When I saw the lotion was grapefruit I thought oh no. Put it on and loved it. I love the target boxes. I wish I had a Target in my town. To go to one is about 50 miles. 🙁

        • Wow! So glad it’s not just me! 🙂

    • Uh me too! I check it all the time!
I’ve scored some AWESOME deals bc of it and my skin is seriously better than its ever been bc the boxes and/or Liz’s reviews and comments have introduced me to new and amazing products (hello One Love Organics! All time favorite)

    • Me too—obsessed with this site!!! Thanks for the heads-up so I could get my first Target Beauty Box! 🙂

Very pleased with everything, especially the Sea Salt, hair-texture spray. Would never have purchased if I didn’t get this sample first. Really love it. Gave my hair lots of fullness and smells WONDERFUL—All day I felt as if I was at the beach!! Will definitely become a staple for me! Grapefruit lotion is not greasy and stays on when washing hands. This too smells fantastic! And I also love the water mask—could see a difference to my face and neck after one use–my skin felt very smooth! So happy to be introduced to these new products! GREAT BOX!!! Thanks!

  35. I grabbed two boxes, and got different masks and nail polishes. But both polishes were ugly colors! They would look great as wall paint, but not on my fingernails. So I’m gifting the two nail polishes, and using up everything else. Love it, love it, love it. One of the best Target boxes I’ve had. Agree with Liz about how wonderful the grapefruit body lotion is. Not impressed with the nugg masks, but there’s enough in each container for three separate uses, so that’s generous. Target does it again.

  36. I got the same polish as you did in both of mine. I got different masks, though! 🙂 One oatmeal and one cucumber. I only got one sunscreen between the two boxes, though. Does anyone know if they’ll do anything to fix it if I email? I know it isn’t a huge deal, but I paid for it, kwim?

    • I’ve had this happen before and emailed Target and refunded me a few dollars.

    • A product was missing from mine last time too and in the other box, the shampoo spilled completely over everything. They will say they’re sold out then offer to refund you a dollar and this can go on for a while, but in the end, they gave me a $5 target giftcard

  37. I ordered 2 boxes and got the same polish and mask in both. I was hoping to get some variety but oh well my nail polish matches the tissue paper that came in the box. I’m excited to try the sleep mask.

    • Try to exchange one of the duplicate Sinful’s. You can try Target first but if not then go to Walgreens.

      • How would you go about exchanging one of the duplicates? Just say you lost your receipt or something?

      • Or you can just accept that when you buy two boxes you may get duplicates. Where does Walgreen’s figure into it?

        • Walgreens has all of the new colors that are showing up in people’s boxes and it would be an even exchange. No money back, just swapping out a color for a different one. Exchanges and refunds are done all the time at Walgreens where people don’t have receipts, as long as the item is on file, it’s not a big deal. And I know those colors are on file at Walgreens.

      • I believe if you bring in your receipt from purchase Target will let you exchange for a color that you want. I’m not sure I would take it to another store that sells that brand though.

      • I think if you brought the confirmation of the order in you could exchange it for a different color in store, call the store ahead of time and BE NICE I can’t tell you how well just being friendly works, if you get rude they won’t help you, I can’t see why they wouldn’t let you swap colors so long as you didn’t use it first, just call your local store and ask.

As far as Walgreens, that is crappy, I don’t like to judge but you didn’t buy it at Walgreens and its unfair to Walgreens to exchange for something else there, this is why return policies have become so strict! If target won’t take it back ( and I highly doubt that would be the case, since with the star wars lipstick they exchanged colors) give it to a friend or use a swap someone else may love that color.

      • If you don’t like the color you could always layer it under another color. I love creating my own color combinations this way.

    • I got duplicate boxes as well, but I HATE the nail polish color I received. It’s called Hush Money…it’s like a brownish pink ???

      • Me too – I didn’t think it was very springy. Oh well, I can give them away and the box still would have been worth the $5.

      • I got the magenta and it looks hideous on me.

      • I got that color, too — I would describe it as a rose gold — and love it! It’s a really pretty pedicure color — already have it on!

        • I got it & love it too! Very light & nuetural with a bit of sparkle 🙂

      • I got Hush Money too! Yea, it’s not the prettiest, but I like colors like that for when I’m supposed to be understated/subtle. Like, it’s better than a clear coat, but not as “HEY CHECK OUT MY NAILS” as much as a pink or a red.

    • Two boxes and same polish for me too! Still happy though!

  38. I Loved this! It was my first Target box. And I love that lotion I may buy the full product. I got a pretty light purple color Polish that will be great for easter. I can’t wait til the next target box!

    • I got that light purple too! Love it, especially for toes. I got two boxes and both masks were anti-aging. I am really happy with mine.

  39. Don’t forget, you can use your $3 coupon on next month’s Beauty Box!!

    • The coupon says $3 off a $15 purchase. The beauty boxes don’t cost that much. Can you really use it?

      • Most beauty boxes are $7 so if you get 2 and a cheap filler you can do it

        • What do you mean by cheap filler? If you added anything else wouldn’t you have to pay shipping?

          • not necessarily… if you have a Red card (Target’s credit card) – then you get free shipping on everything.

  40. I’m happy with this box, one of us will use all kids.

  41. I love this brand of nail polish! They have a gel formula (no light) for $3 a bottle. It’s my new fave find 🙂

  42. My favorites from this box are definitely the grapefruit lotion and the nail polish! The lotion smells really good 🙂

    • And I’m really excited to try the nugg mask too! Overall great box even though I won’t use a few of the things – but they’ll get donated 🙂
