Stitch Fix is a monthly styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences, and then your personal stylist sends you 5 items to try once a month. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)
FYI – My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

Each box comes with cards with styling suggestions for every piece, plus a little note from your stylist. I was thrilled after reading my stylist’s letter this month! I have a different stylist than I have in a while, which I think is a fresh, good thing. Last month’s fix was a bust and I actually didn’t even keep anything (for maybe the first time ever?) – I think they may have switched my stylist up due to that?
And this is my invoice sheet. It lists the prices per item and the discount I’d receive by keeping all 5 items. With the 25% discount and my $20 styling fee factored in, plus a $20 credit I had, this box would cost me a total of $219.50 to keep everything – approximately $43.90 an item ($47.90 per item had I not had the $20 credit in my account).
Olive & Oak Mulliken Raglan Striped Knit Shirt – Cost to Keep: $48
I love this top! I have actually pinned this shirt (maybe even a couple times?) so I was thrilled to see it and even more thrilled that it feels high quality and fits great.
Liverpool Denise Bootcut Jean – Cost to Keep: $78
I was really excited to try jeans from Stitch Fix. I loved every maternity pair they sent me while I was pregnant, which was when I first started Stitch Fix. These are great, too! Very stretchy and actually designed to help support + shape. The tag even says they’ll make you look a size smaller. All I really know is that these are comfortable and I feel great in them.
Market & Spruce Angelo Cargo Anorak Jacket – Cost to Keep: $108
This jacket sure feels like it costs $108. It is a great, quality weight and fits well. The inside has drawstrings so you can pull in the waist and bottom of the jacket and I’m going to play with them a bit to get the best look. In this photo I just pulled them quickly to cinch the waist, but I think it’d look better if I had taken the time to pull the cinched fabric evenly around my waist so there wasn’t so much puckering at the front like that.
Plus, the lining has polka dots!
Market & Spruce Liz Textured Sweater – Cost to Keep: $68
This sweater is really soft and has a subtle high-low hem that I actually find to be really flattering. The bodice of the sweater is actually like lots of little square tufts of the yarn, knit with a blue thread in between each little square. It’s a cool effect, but I also see that this makes any parts of the bodice that is stretched even a little (ahem, boobs) look weirdly shadowy. I don’t really think it’s something super noticeable in person, though. I like this sweater overall, but don’t love it.
Street Level Lyna Woven Wristlet – Cost to Keep: $48
I had mentioned on one of my pins of a clutch that I’ve been hunting for a good clutch to keep my things in in my diaper bag that I can just grab and go (stylishly) when I’m running somewhere without the baby. She even mentioned that she picked this clutch with that in mind (which really made me feel special that she paid such close attention to my pinterest style board).
What really made me decide I had to keep this bag, though, is my subscription addiction (get it? Ha!). Seriously, it’s basically exactly the signature Stitch Fix mint color! I love that. (Plus, mint was one of my wedding colors so maybe it’s just my love of the color in general.)
Verdict: This month’s fix was a hit! Which I’m really happy for after last month’s bust. This fix feels so personalized to me because I can really tell my stylist spent some time going through my pinterest and feedback. I also feel like the style is much more spot-on to what I like. Last month I mentioned I was going to do some “style soul searching” to help both my stylist and myself figure out what I’m looking for in a wardrobe. One of the main things I did was overhaul my pinterest board and got rid of anything I don’t still like and I wrote “Dear Stylist” notes on all my pinned items explaining what I specifically liked about each item. I think this is one of the best things you can do to help your stylist and your fixes!
As far as what I kept, I actually kept everything! I really loved the jeans, jacket, and striped top most, but just those three things added up to about $214. So, I spent $5 more and also kept the sweater and clutch.
