Le Tote is a month-to-month clothing rental subscription. When you sign up, you browse their catalog of clothing and accessories and create your “closet,” from which they select items to send to you. You keep the clothing to wear as long as you like, and you can also send back your box for a new selection of items as frequently as you like. If you love something enough to want to purchase it, you can simply hold onto it when you send the rest of that box back. Also, if you purchase your whole tote, you get one month free!
FYI – the items in my Le Tote boxes are selected for me based off of my preferences and style profile, so your boxes may look completely different!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Noir Color Block Tee – retail: $62 (Le Tote Price: $48)
This top was really comfortable, but I think the proportions of the color block wasn’t super flattering on me.
Octavia Hooded Long Cardigan – retail: $72 (Le Tote Price: $32)
I like the length of this cardigan, but it didn’t feel like something that retails for $72 (I can see why Le Tote put their price lower). The pattern was screen-printed on and the material was a little thin. I enjoyed wearing it, but I knew I wasn’t going to keep it right away.
Sam Edelman Crinkle Spike Pendant – retail: $35 (Le Tote Price: $28)
This necklace is simple and versatile! I like it.
Tart Scoop Neck L/S Top – retail: $75? (Le Tote Price: $44)?
I couldn’t find this item on Le Tote’s site anymore, so I’m thinking it was purchased/taken out of rotation/etc. I like this top! The pink color is fun and the material is so very comfortable! It was a little thin/see though but not too bad.
Sorry – I forgot to snap a photo of the necklace before returning my tote but this is a close-up from Le Tote’s Website.
Collective Concepts Abstract Sleeveless Top – Retail: $60 (Le Tote Price: $29)
This top is really cute, but it just fits me a little weirdly. I think it’s too short and a little boxy. It definitely looks better on their model than me. I like the concept though!
Street Level Pretty in Pink Clutch – retail: $48 (Le Tote Price: $38)
I loooove this clutch. The design and size is perfect for my tastes and for me to throw in my diaper bag and grab whenever I need to run someplace without baby. The color is my only hesitation – it’s bright orange. It’s called pink on Le Tote’s site but it’s really orange in person. I sent this back, but I really have been thinking I should order it (you can still get the Le Tote Price when you do) since I did!
Here it is with the handle attached.
Now for my second February tote (my 12th overall)
Noir Luxe Monochrome Clutch – retail: $48 (Le Tote Price: $38)
This bag is cool – I love the geometric pattern made by the pyramid-shaped studs! It has a wrist strap that clips on and off, as well as a full over-the-shoulder strap. The quality feels really nice, too!
Octavia & Co. The Imperfect Stud – retail: $14 (Le Tote Price: $8)
These are my style! I love the “organic” shape, the silver tone, and the price.
Summer & Sage Bird Crewneck Sweater – Retail: $72 (Le Tote Price: $58)
This sweater is wonderful. I love the birds and the fabric is really soft and comfortable. It fit really well! I’m really tempted to keep it, but the price is a little high for a sweater on the brink of Spring. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed wearing this as much as I could before sending it back!
Tart Striped Heather Blazer – Retail: $125 (Le Tote Price: $96)
I really love this blazer. It’s a comfortable knit and would add a really cute way to dress up/finish any look without sacrificing any kind of comfort! For the price though, I just couldn’t keep it.
MAK Striped Multi Cardigan – retail: $28 (Le Tote Price: $22)
I love this cardigan! The colors and stripes make me happy, plus the material is really soft! It’s perfect for Spring, and the price is nice so I ended up keeping this.
Verdict: In February I went through 2 totes, and found a great cardigan I really like. I can easily get at least 3 totes, but I got some pieces that I really wanted to make sure I got some wear out of since I liked them a lot. My very favorite part of this sub is that I can keep the items as long as I like and wear them before deciding if I want to buy them or send them back. Sometimes it takes feeling how a piece wears before realizing that it won’t actually work for you, or that it’s itchy, or something like that. I also feel like there is minimal pressure to buy items, since it is a rental service and not a styling service. I feel this aspect gives me permission to enjoy (and wear!) the clothes and not feel bad or awkward when I send everything back (even though I do often keep an item per tote anyway so far).
Evaluating the value is a little tricky because I think the value of renting clothes and accessories is pretty subjective and different for everyone. I can see this being a great service for someone who uses a “capsule wardrobe” or someone who doesn’t like to wear the same thing twice or has a lot of social events to go to, or even women in the process of losing weight!
