This month’s theme was science and technology.  On the other side of the information card was a list of items from the box.

Safemade Shaky Mouse – Value $7?

This is totally a Sneaky kind of toy.  I haven’t put it up yet because my cats have gotten so many new toys lately, but she has definitely loved items like this in the past.  I couldn’t find this item anywhere online (maybe I didn’t have the best search terms?) so the value is a guess.

Think Cat! Crinkle Cell Phone – Value $3.50?

Thankfully the “crinkle” part of this is not too loud…this is another one I couldn’t find online (try searching “cat” and “cell phone” and what you will get are apps for entertaining cats).

Delca Country Catnip Pillow – Value $4?

This was a big hit.  Unfortunately it has a bell in it somewhere so I had to take it away from my cats because someone thought it was fun to play with at 3AM…I’m noticing a trend, by the way.  I couldn’t find this item online either.

Think Cat! U.C.O. – Value $3.50?

This is an “unidentified catnip object” and is a cute little flying saucer-shaped catnip toy, though it’s a bit hard to tell that from the photo.  Another guess at the value here.

Simply Nourish Freeze-Dried Treats (turkey, 0.49 oz) – Value $4.88

Madison is a big turkey fan.  I like freeze-dried treats because they only have one ingredient.  So this is a win.

Petmate Kitten Little – Value $1.49

This was Monkey’s favorite thing from the box.  But I could have predicted that in advance – he absolutely loves to lick canvas catnip toys.  I couldn’t get a good picture of his tongue, unfortunately.

Safemade Catnip Ring Toy with Tail – Value $5?

Sneaky claimed this although all four of my cats were interested.  This also has a bell and had to be taken away at night.  This is another one I couldn’t find online.

Gratuitous cat pictures coming right up!

kitnipbox-march-2016-madison

Wow, I caught Madison doing something other than sulking in the corner!

There we go, that’s more like what I’ve come to expect from Basement Cat.

kitnipbox-march-2016-monkeybell

I can get Monkey to do this nearly every single time I try.

kitnipbox-march-2016-monkeylove

Monkey REALLY loved this toy…

kitnipbox-march-2016-sneakyroll

Sneaky claimed this thing for herself.

Mr. Kitty with some of the toys from the box.

kitnipbox-march-2016-sparklesgroom

Like a true cat, Mr. Kitty stopped playing with the toys for an emergency grooming session.

Verdict: I calculated a value of almost $30 for the March KitNip Box.  Granted, a lot of those values were total guesses since most of the items didn’t seem to be available (or easily findable) online.  That is really close to the cost of the subscription but please take the value with a grain of salt.  My cats were happy with the toys and treats, and this value is about average for a cat subscription box, so I’m happy.  I’ll reserve final judgment for a few more months, however, since I don’t know about month-to-month variation yet.

Ragan

Yeah sorry, I think I forgot to say which box I was actually reviewing. It is the multi-cat option. Purr Packs is still probably one of my favorite cat boxes, but this one was pretty good as well.

Ragan – I don’t even have a cat, but I still always read your reviews of cat boxes for the pictures of your fur-babies. So cute!
