This month’s featured fandom is the Avengers! It’s just in time for the Captain America: Civil War movie that’s coming out soon; the trailers look amazing. This month contains 8 items instead of the usual 4-7.

Mjolnir Necklace

I’m biased because I wear necklaces the most, but this is my favorite of the box. This is Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir. There are inscriptions on both sides of the hammer and it’s a weighty piece for the size. It’s a very well-made necklace.

Hulk Bracelet

I’m not a huge fan of the design– the links make it look more like a watch than a bracelet. However, I’m again impressed by how sturdy the materials are.

Black Widow Ring

This ring is adjustable and fits comfortably on my finger. The design is a little simple so I can see it suiting younger Avengers fans more than adults, but it all depends on personal taste.

Iron Man Earrings

There is no better way of showcasing Tony Stark’s ego than wearing two Iron Man’s, one on each ear. These studs are lightweight and about the size of a fingernail. I don’t have pierced ears, so I’ll probably be gifting these.

Hawkeye Earcuff

Earcuffs are becoming very trendy, so I was excited when I saw this in the box. It’s a simple earcuff but it fits my ear nicely without pinching it. The design is also versatile so I can see it being worn not only as a Hawkeye piece but for other occasions as well.

Captain America Pin

I know I’m saying this again, but it’s such a well-made piece! This is Captain America’s iconic shield. It’s of decent weight and great craftsmanship.

Exclusive 4×6 Avengers Art Print

I love the colors and use of light and dark in this glossy print! At first I thought they forgot Iron Man, but then I saw him flying in the background and all was well.

The Purple Chameleon POW BANG SMASH Headband – $3.75

This is the Comic Text headband from The Purple Chameleon, an Etsy shop that sells headwear, necklaces, and earrings. The design is so appropriate for the Avengers theme! I don’t really wear headbands but even so I enjoy the diversity of the items here.

Verdict: I have really enjoyed this month’s Kal-Elle Fandom Monthly box. It delivers on both quality and fun curation. Best of all it literally covered ALL the bases for bedazzling yourself in Avengers getup. Hey, this may be a comic-con goer’s dream box. I’m not a dedicated Avengers or Marvel fan, but even so I could appreciate every item. I didn’t estimate retail value for most items, but for less than $3 per item the value is absolutely there.

  1. My 9 year old daughter would love this. It seems as if it’s geared towards older girls or women. She is pretty tiny and I don’t think these items would fit her well. What do you think?

    • The fit may be large for your daughter, like for necklaces, bracelets, and rings. I think you’re probably right about the target demographic!

  2. Any idea if this box is still available? I love all the items

    • Yes! It should still be available 🙂

      • I actually received word it isn’t available anymore, sorry!

    • Never mind I take that back 🙁 I received word that it’s not available anymore.

  3. What a great box of awesomeness!!! I hope you do more reviews on future months. I’m trying not to sub to anything else right now without cancelling an existing box, but I’m so tempted!

  4. Weird. Seems like the obvious theme choice would have been Batman v. Superman/Justice League, which actually comes out this month…
