COCOFEB - 4

February’s Cocotique Box is a “TakeOver” with Creme of Nature.  Plus or minus a few products, I’ve reviewed this exact box recently through another subscription.  So, if you’re having deja vu, don’t worry, this isn’t the Matrix and this really is a different box.

Our product card explains we have four full-sized items from the Straight From Eden line by Creme of Nature.  Products include are said to be amazing for both straightened and natural curls.

Good To Know – Make sure to read your inserts.  Every month, one subscriber will receive the “Bonus COCOTIQUE Box” which includes a gift certificate for a special gift.

COCOFEB - 7

Creme of Nature Straight From Eden

Natural Oil-Infused Hydrating Shampoo – FULL SIZE – Value: $6.00

This shampoo is said to be gentle on all hair types and I like that it’s made with coconut among other natural oils to cleanse and detangle hair.  I have used this shampoo and it’s just not for me.  It foams and I feel that is strips the natural oils from my hair.

Creme of Nature Straight From Eden

Natural Oil-Infused Hydrating Conditioner – FULL SIZE – Value: $6.50

This conditioner, also infused with natural oils, is said to revive dehydrate strands and can also be used as a deep conditioner.  I enjoy using this as a pre-poo and it’s heavy enough to use as a cowash on the kiddos.

COCOFEB - 8

Creme of Nature Straight From Eden

Natural Oil-Infused Leave-In Conditioner – FULL SIZE – Value: $11.00

This leave-in conditioning spray is a good multitasker. It detangles, protects, repairs and replenishes moisture into hair.  It’s made with natural oils and has to be shaken before each use.  John really enjoys the fragrance and was happy to see there was a backup.  It’s subtle fragrance doesn’t irritate the sensitive noses in the house.

COCOFEB - 9

Creme of Nature Straight From Eden

Natural Oil-Infused Repairing Oil – FULL SIZE – Value: $8.50

I received a tiny sample of this oil the last time.  I’m happy to have a full sized version.  It smells great and reminds me of another oil from a line from Creme of Nature.  I had trouble finding the full list of ingredients.  I guess this normally would come inside of a product box, but we don’t have one.  What I do know is there is coconut, avocado and oilve oils, and those are alright with me.  I do find it strange that there isn’t a box for it.

Evologie – Intensive Blemish Serum– 0.33 oz – Value: $14.50

This is the second sample I’ve received of this blemish cream.  The previous sample arrived sealed as well as this one. I don’t know much about the brand, but I hope that they start sealing the samples.  There isn’t an exp date stamped anywhere I can see, and the suggested expiration is 12 months from opening.  But how do I know if it’s ever been opened if it comes unsealed?

COCOFEB - 10

Befine Skin Care – Night Cream with Cocoa, Millet & Rice Bran – .34 oz – Value: $2.00

I’ve received Befine products samples like this in the past, they are great for adding to gift boxes or packing on trips.  It says to use this on your face and neck to see an improvement in skin tones.

COCOFEB - 13

Verdict:  Cocotique had an estimated retail value of nearly $49.00!  That’s well over the asking price which makes this a great bargain.  Though there is an obvious trend of Creme of Nature Takeovers in the hair box community,  I’m thankful to try “new to me” hair products and share the not so new to me with friends and family.

  1. I ordered this box when MSA advertised a 25% off coupon for previous Cocotique boxes and subscriptions. The price with the coupon code was $15 (with add’l $5 shipping ). I really love it! The shampoo and conditioner are sulfate free (which MSA reviewers say is a good thing) and it has a great scent. It makes my hair feel very silky when I use it.
My favorite item is the repairing oil. I’m using it on my daughters and my hair instead of the jar of Blue Magic I used to use, lol! It is very conditioning and has made our hair feel softer. I agree it’s missing ingredient list and directions for use on the bottle is strange as the other products have all those detailed on the back of their bottle.
My problem is I’m running out of the repairing oil and I think I will order another one of the February Cocotique Takeover box. I like these products and the value is there. They sent me a 20% off code on previous boxes. It’s Boxff20 and expires April 1st.
Thank you MSA for your reviews and sharing the coupon codes that got me started on this sub in the first place!

  2. I love Cocotique. But, I am just a bit tired of the hair care boxes. I know most women of color go through a hard time finding the right product, so I applaud them on bringing a lot of new products to their subscribers. However, ENOUGH.
