CandyClub-February-2016-ClubOptions

Candy Club recently added several different club options that help tailor boxes to suit different candy preferences. Subscribers can now choose between three clubs: “Sours & More,” “Classics,” and “Favorites.”

To help determine which club is right for you, subscriptions now begin with a fun online quiz! (Though, if you don’t like your quiz results, you can always pick a different club.)

CandyClub-February-2016-Quattro

Dorval Sour Power Quattro Belts

Sour belts are my husband’s all-time favorite candy! These are fairly long and extremely sour. The flavored stripes are strawberry, green apple, blue raspberry, and tutti frutti.

CandyClub-February-2016-Albanese

Albanese Gummi Hugs & Kisses

Candy Club regularly sends Albanese candy in their boxes, and I’m consistently impressed with the fun shapes, bright colors, and bold flavors. These gummy hugs & kisses come in three flavors: grape, pineapple, and strawberry. They’re all delicious, and I like that the shapes are appropriate for Valentine’s Day.

CandyClub-February-2016-Clusters

OMG's Vanilla Graham Clusters with Almonds and Toffee Bits

These clusters are really yummy! They’re made up of graham wafers, almond pieces, and toffee bits that are tossed with creamy vanilla coating.

CandyClub-February-2016-Citrus

Primrose Citrus Cuts Hard Candy

This month’s Candy Club also included Primrose Citrus Hard Candies. I usually prefer gummy candy over hard, but I really like these! Each color corresponds to a different citrus fruit (lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, and tangerine), and the flavors are bold, juicy, and a little tart.

Verdict: I really enjoyed this box from Candy Club! All of the candy was delicious, but I particularly enjoyed the Albanese gummies and Dorval sour belts. In terms of value, Candy Club says that each box will have a retail value of $60. You can certainly pay that much for candy at high-end candy stores (like Sugarfina and Dylan's Candy Bar), but I think it’s important to point out that nearly all of the candy in this month’s box is available for much less if you buy it in bulk online. Still, even though this subscription doesn’t offer superb value for money, I think it’s a lot of fun. Receiving a giant box of candy every month always puts a smile on my face!

I used the Groupon 3 month deal for Candy Club. This was my second month and I only liked 1 of the three candies sent. The others I couldn’t stand and I have a major sweet tooth. They were truly gross. I can’t justify continuing to spend this amount on candy if I don’t know whether I will even like it. There is no way to set preferences beyond the 3 clubs. Maybe I’ll switch from Club Favorites to Sours and More and see what I get my last month.

I would love to get this but I don’t want to spend this month every month on candy, especially since you only get 3 different candies. Okay, 4 with the bonus candy.

What about Candy Box? I had a group on for three months (this was last fall) and then I never received the December box. Also, MSA used to review for Candy Club and Candy Box and I have been wondering if they would review Candy Box again, or if they just diappeared. I received a refund from Groupon since the company had failed to respond to me for so long, but I am still Curious if anyone knows.
