This box is still available!

To set the stage for you, I have very oily, blemish prone skin.  I have recently begun taking much better care of my skin, and I am getting into skincare a lot more than I used to be!

The prices on these samples seems really high to me, but I double checked them multiple times, and got the same result.  If they're correct, this is a really high value sampler.

Nuxe Moisture Cream Creme Fraiche de Beaute - $12.99

I love the way this smells, but I doubt everyone will.  I have the full size of this, and I do love it, so I was excited to get a smaller one that I can take while I travel!  I used this one after using the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip cleanser.  It felt like it absorbed quickly, but also continued to moisturize all night.

Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre - $2.66

This is a very thick moisturizer, and the sample size was much smaller than I expected!  With that said, it felt glorious on my skin, and I really noticed a difference in my skin in the morning.  I could tell that the moisturizer was working all night!

I started this routine off with my Vasanti Detox cleanser from the Cleanser Quest kit I bought from Birchbox, and then followed up with my Pixi Glow Peel Pads, and a L'Occitane Rose Water spray (that I can't find on their website - I will be so upset if they discontinued this!).

Beenigma All in One Face Cream - $16.42

This moisturizer has a 4-star rating on Birchbox.  It smells like honey to me, and I really like the formula.  It is a very thick, almost balm like formula.  The company claims it is the 'botox of the natural world."  I didn't notice such dramatic results, but I would definitely buy this one again to use.

I used this one after my Paula's Choice cleanser from the Cleanser Quest, my Glow Tonic, and Good Genes.  My face felt so soft!

MDSolarSciences Daily Anti Aging Moisturizer - $20.40

This moisturizer is very lightweight and absorbs quickly.  I normally do not like SPF moisturizers, but I really like this one.  Unfortunately for me, it's pretty pricey.  I do need a sunscreen though, so I will definitely use up the sample and decide whether to purchase at that time.

I used this after the Origins Checks and Balances cleanser from the Cleanser Quest, a salicylic toner, and my La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo.

BBM5

Naobay Oxygenating Moisturizing Cream - $21.60

This moisturizer smells very lightly, and absorbs quickly.  I loved this!  I will probably purchase the full size after this.  The sample size is only 20 ml less than the full size, so I will be able to trial it for quite a while to make sure I love it!  I used this one after the (Malin + Goetz) Grapefruit Face Cleanser, which felt quite drying on my skin.  This moisturizer really worked well after that one!

Verdict:  The value of this kit is astounding for $22.50 (I got a $5.00 total discount off this kit and the Cleanser Quest kit).  I think the value is so high because a) some of the samples are quite large, and b) some of the products are really pricey!  I think I am set for travel sized moisturizers for a while, and I love all of the formulas.  This kit was a total win for me!  I'm actually considering purchasing another one.  One thing to note though, is that if you are allergic to bee products, you should not use the Beenigma cream.

Did you buy this kit?  If not, what has been your favorite Birchbox sampler kit?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

I think the total you have is wrong. You said it’s $22 and change but it’s obviously more than that (around $7-80?) I didn’t calculate but just a heads up.

I was kind of kicking myself for ordering this as I really don’t need a lot more moisturizers right now, but after reading this review, I’m really glad I did, and I look forward to getting it in the mail!

I like SPF moisturizers and I have been looking for one new one to try. The 0.5 oz of MDSolar Science at Sephora is $25 alone, so this was a easy choice for me to pick up!

I got the Naobay moisturizer in my February Birchbox, and thought I was crazy when trying to figure out how much the sample size value was. It was nice to get such a high quality item. It’s awesome that the Moisture Matchmaker sampler box includes such high-end products, especially since with moisturizer, a little goes a long way. Thanks for reviewing!
