Shotwell Candy Co. Tennessee Toffee - $5.95

Is it me, or does Treatsie send out a lot of toffee?  I'm not complaining, especially when it tastes this good!  The salt in this really pops, and it tastes fabulous.  There are pecans in the toffee, but I barely tasted them.  Since I'm a huge salted sweets person, I think this is my favorite toffee from Treatsie yet!

Salem Baking Co. Moravian Cookies - Chocolate - $4.99

Oh man, these are good!  Dangerous too, since they're so easy to eat repeatedly!  They're very chocolatey, and taste exactly like my favorite part of an Oreo cookie - the cookie part (so much better without the cream!).  These are really similar to some chocolate crisp cookies that I received in my November Snack Sack, just without the extra dusting of sugar.  I liked those so much, I made them at home, and these are making me want to pull the rest of the dough out and bake some more!

Seattle Chocolates Pink Bubbly Truffle Bar - $3.50

The truffle filling is filled with popping candies and freeze dried raspberries.  Though it is named "bubbly" bar, I don't taste champagne - I think the reference is to the popping candies!  It's delicious by the way - I don't like a lot of fruity flavors in my chocolate if it overpowers or competes in anyway, and the flavors are balanced so nicely here!

Seattle Chocolates Just For You Truffle Bar - $3.50

This was delicious!  The salted caramel flavor was very light, but added a different twist to what would otherwise be a standard truffle filling.  The chocolate on these bars is amazing and the filling was incredibly smooth.

Verdict:  The value on this Treatsie box was about $17.94.  I received two of the candy bars in the Treatsie Special Edition box but I kind of figured there would be some crossover for this month!  The toffee was an awesome find, and the cookies are a newish favorite of mine, so this box was great for me, even though the value is a bit lower than the price paid for the subscription if you pay month-to-month.  I always love my Treatsie boxes though if I'm being honest - they're one I look forward to every month!  There was a bit of a Valentine's theme to the box, which is nice, even though we've past the holiday now!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

This was my first box and was a serious disappointment. First, my box sat for 4 days in a USPS warehouse 3 hours from my house, after I contacted Treatsie, I saw my box move but it took an additional two days to get it (not really their fault but annoying) Second, the box was a lot smaller than I was expecting and lastly, items inside weren’t, in my opinion, gourmet considering I can find this stuff at Home Goods/Tj Maxx (as someone else pointed out) were you get get these items for about $3-$4 a piece.

The only “saving grace” was I signed up with a double treat code, so I got twice as much. I would have been really, really annoyed had I paid $20 for just those 4 items. Also, strangely, my cookies didn’t have lids either. I don’t know why.

I have subscribed to many, many boxes and this one was the close to the worst (anyone remember that WalMart sub box? Lol). Cancelled, good thing I only paid for the one box.

Did anyone receive the cookie canister without a lid? I thought this was odd and have asked for a reply from the company.

I’ve been subscribing for several months now, and I’ve been very disappointed in the last few boxes. Getting good candy in the mail is fun, but the value of the boxes keeps falling short. I noticed this month that Treatsie inflates the price of some items on their website–for example, the toffee here sells for $7 from Treatsie instead of $5.95 direct from Shotwell. Going back through, this is true of other items–last month’s Kitchen Sink bar is a dollar cheaper direct from the seller. This seems extremely dishonest to me; nothing makes me dislike a company more than to feel like I am being taken advantage of. Many of the boxes fall short of the subscription fee when the price is totally correctly. Also, I saw this month’s cookies at TJMaxx! Not exactly a hidden gem. :/ I have a year long subscription already paid for, and I’m considering asking for a refund.

This was my first box and was a bit disappointed in how much you get. Very little. The toffee was amazing!! The crisp cookies were just ok…but my kids loved them!

I signed on for 3 months to give it a try since my boys wanted a treat box, so we will see how it goes.

This was my very first Treatsie box and I was a little disappointed upon opening the box. I had seen recent past reviews with some very tantalizing products. I did enjoy the taste of these items, but want the value of the box to be at Least what I paid. Also wish there was a way to exclude dark chocolate from the box. Will give it a couple more months and see how it goes. One major plus is their customer service rocks–always very prompt and helpful!

I don’t like chocolate cookies so this was not a good month for me 🙁
