  2. Excited to receive my box. What could make it better? Being able to pick the color for the eyeshadow that the subscriber would actually use.

    • Yes, I hope to get a good eye color! In the Winter Box…My Nail polish wasn’t the pretty sparkle it was an ugly peach! I was so disappointed!

      • UGH, I got the eyeshadow in Avant-garde…the bright bold blue. Who even wears that color?? I’m just disappointed overall with the box. 🙁

  3. I have had box envy for a long time when it comes to BOS. I went to purchase the winter box and it sold out before I could. I purchased this month’s and I like the bag. I am disappointed in the eye shadow. I get plenty of eye shadow from other beauty box subs and I don’t like wearing cream shadow at all. From previous full box reveals this box usually appears to have extremely high quality items. I hope my box will not be disappointing considering the current spoiler reveal. The LeMer is wonderful. I have used LeMer products off and on for years. I am extremely excited to be receiving it as a bonus. When does Rachel usually reveal the full spoilers for her boxes?????

  4. Liz, when I try to make follow up comments I’m getting a message that a duplicate comment has been detected, and I can’t post it. What’s going on? It’s not the same comment, and I don’t make that many. This was just asking if you could reach out to BOS and see what’s going on with their account problems, since it is worrying so many subscribers and they aren’t responding. I used and alternate email address here so hopefully it will post

  5. Why are you deleting my comments? Yes my tone may have been snarky but they have been pushing this box HARD, and given that it is almost the ship date they are clearly nowhere near selling out if they are offering discount codes to past subscribers who canceled. It’s simple economics. If you offer a product whose value seems less than what people pay, then they will stop paying. The winter box was not a great value, bottom line, people felt burned by it and they canceled. A $24 eye crayon is not enough to lure back this fish.

    • I’ve been happy with all three boxes I’ve received. Did I like absolutely everything, no, but I was able to sell the item or pass it along. The winter box had a value of over $400 and the fall and summer over $300. I think it is hard to curate a box that is going to please everyone. I cancelled Popsugar because I wasn’t enjoying their choices and their customer service was even worse.

      I’m excited for this spring box. I’ve loved the first two teasers. Not that excited for the eye shadow stick, but I know it is at least something I can use.

  6. They seem pretty desperate to get subscribers back. I guess a lot of people canceled after the joke that was the winter box, myself included. That’s what happens when you give people hair pins they can get at Claire’s and stationary. They offered me a a discount code but the only thing I find interesting so far is the La Mer serum (not shown to scale, hah!), and a sample of that isn’t worth $80 to me. The recent track record for these boxes just isn’t overwhelming the FOMO for me. I have a feeling they will have some still available after they mail them out, when I see the full spoilers I might reconsider.

    • Many of us thought the winter box was pretty awesome…I sold the hair pin, no biggie. Not every thing in a mystery box will be a fit for everyone. Those are the breaks. Overall, this box has given me the most excitement and bang for the buck. I hope they keep doing an awesome job.

  7. I just got a strange email from BOS that said I ordered two boxes instead of one and that they wanted to doublecheck that this was correct. I replied that I never ordered a second box and that I only wanted one. Then I got a second email that was a string of emails from lots of other subscribers writing to BOS that they only wanted one box too. Worried they might have been hacked and that I fell for it 🙁 Very frustrated right now. Make it up to me BOS!!!!!!

    • Thinking I should have ordered the PSMH Resort instead?

    • Liz, is there any chance you could reach out to BOS and ask them to address the weird account stuff that is going on? There are a whole string of us who received “your card was declined” emails, many people tried to clear their account and may be getting duplicate boxes. I’ve always gotten amazing CS from BOS, and I’m a little worried that they haven’t responded to anyone…

      • I’m still waiting to receive a response from BOS about what happened with my account. I was never charged, nor did I receive a message that my card was declined. I wonder what is going on with their customer service. They are usually so on the ball.

  8. I’ve been waiting to justify treating myself to one of her boxes but I’m just not feeling the bag spoiler or the ‘we choose’ eyeshadow because I know I would end up with frosted light blue. Isn’t that still gauche like frosted pink lipstick? Rachel I’m not buying the concept of frosted blue eyeshadow. Nope nope nope. Not for the box price.

  9. This is my absolute favorite subscription box, but so far none of these spoilers truly excite me. I’m not a big jouer crayon fan. I love getting jewelry so I’m holding out for something along those lines!!

  11. So this is my first box of style and all the others gave me box envy… This one so far, not too jazzed about. Does anyone know why they keep posting that the La Mer serum is a bonus? Does that mean it won’t be included in the value of the box and doesn’t count as one of the items? Like does it really mean it’s a bonus item bc that would be great since I’m so sick if serums in sub boxes!

    • It means it is an extra, and doesn’t count towards the value. They are actually really great giving bonuses. I received an extra goodie with my summer box because shipping so long. And I know they gave everyone who started with the first box a bonus last time.

  13. I have a black jouer eye shadow stick and it’s really great (even better than the Laura Mercier caviar sticks, imo) I’ll be happy with any color, other than black or electric blue.

  14. Please please please let me get the eyeshadow in Bronze. That’s the only color I would wear! I love bright colors but I’m not too adventurous with my eyeshadow…

  15. Not excited by the 3 spoilers, my annual just got auto renewed Feb. 15… so I’m trying to cancel. I can always re-subscribe for next box if I like the spoilers.

  18. As crazy as it may sound I am more excited for this spoiler than the previous 2. I love Jouer products and I have 3 of these eyeshadow sticks already so super excited to get another just hope I dont get one I already have 🙂

  19. Love this eyeshadow- I have the bronze and it’s amazing. I use it as an eyeliner, it stays on all day without primer. I think I would wear most of these colors- except probably black!

    Did anyone else get an email saying their account was on “hold” because their card had been declined? I started to panic, cause I knew my card should be good, only to find when I checked my bank account that the charge had already gone through! My account showed as on hold, and I couldn’t access the payment info to check it. Emailed right away, and within a few hours the “hold” was off but I never got an email response. would have been nice to have heard something about why this happened.

    • Yes, I got the same email! And I don’t know why because I had plenty of funds. Maybe a glitch on their end? I emailed them and while I waited for a response, I ended up signing up for a new subscription and they emailed me back saying they were removing the hold.

      • I had to do the same thing too! I email them twice and no response. I hope I don’t get charged twice. It annoys me that they don’t have a customer service line that you can call!

        • I’m so glad I read this feed because when I went to check my account it had been placed on hold too. It doesn’t appear I was charged for the Spring box, which is odd. I never received any notice about my card being declined and when I checked my card there is no charge. I hope customer service fixes this issue after I contact them. I was really looking forward to this box.

    • same thing happened to me! While waiting for a response from them, I tried to update my card, but then it deleted it! I freaked out a little bit, sent another email. BUT then I saw this coupon code and I signed up for an annual subscription ( sigh…. the addiction is real….)

      I’ve emailed them to cancel the previous sub, If I hear anything I’ll post!

      • I’m back! I received confirmation emails today that the previous subscription was canceled. ( No explaination as for WHY the issues are happening, though. )

        other weirdness, can’t access my account anymore. And no password recovery emails are being sent out either….hm…

    • Yes I got the same email. I am not really into the 3 spoilers. I was just going to let it be declined. Now I better check.

    • I got the same email! It said to update my credit information by the 20th in order to get the box. I was freaking out that I wouldn’t get one lol. I checked and everything looked right so I emailed them & they took my account off hold and rebilled. I actually got that email twice thick and didn’t think anything of it; just figured it was sent twice on accident. Now after reading the comments here I’m going to make sure I wasn’t charged twice.

  22. Yay I love my Julep eyeshadow sticks, and these look like the same type of product. Hope I get a great new color to try. Love how easy they are to use!

  23. Hmm…If I get the vanilla or bronze/copper color this could be nice, but otherwise to Ebay it goes. I think I will still be happy with the box though, particularly as this is a lower value item.

  24. Fingers crossed I get the Vanilla cream eyeshadow! I can’t pull off a shimmering color in the crease and that’s the only place I’d apply a darker shade.
    I really must remember to cancel this subscription. Out of the last four boxes I only kept two items, the Cluse watch and the Honest Co wipes.

  25. Not super impressed with the eyeshadow stick (I’ll end up swapping it) but I’m still excited for the box!
