Pop In A Box Subscription Box Review + Coupon February 2016 - box

Pop In A Box is a UK subscription box that sends you Funko POPs every month! They’ve started to ship to the US earlier this year, and I finally caved and gave it a shot! You can sign up to receive 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, or 12 POPs each month. This is a review of a 12-POP delivery.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: Pop In A Box

The Price: $9.99 + Shipping (My shipping was about $5)

COUPON: Save 20% off your fist shipment, no coupon required, just use this link

The Products: Pop In A Box allows you to grow your POP! collection every month with a guaranteed mystery Funko POP! Vinyl that’s not in your collection.

Ships to: US, UK, and Canada

This box ships very quickly, so they must have distribution in the US now. About 2-3 days after I was charged, the box was at the door.

I went all-in this month and went for the 12-pack of POPs.

Here’s a quick run-down of creating your PIAB account:

The first thing you’ll want to do is set up your collection. This is an important step to ensure that you don’t receive a duplicate POP or a POP that you may not care about.

individual POP

You can cycle through POPs and selection options for each one. Mark ‘I HAVE THIS’ for POPs you have and avoid duplicates. Give POPs a thumbs down to let PIAB know that you don’t want it, and mark it as thumbs up to let them know that you’re really interested in that specific POP.

PIAB collection

There are a TON of POPs to go through. I haven’t even gone through all of them, but in the end, you’ll have built your own collection! This will help you keep track of what you have, and it will help PIAB know what to send.

Verdict: This is a great subscription for collectors like me that love building out their collection. You do save money when you’re getting more and more POPs, too. So far, not only have I received no duplicates, but I received newer POPs, like the latest Marceline POP from Adventure Time – so that’s really exciting! Also, for each POP in your subscription plan, you have a chance to win a Ride or rare POP – so that makes the unboxing fun too!

Are you a POP collector? What do you think of POP In A Box?

  1. I’ve had a pretty sucky experience with Pop In a Box. I’m on my 3rd month with a 3 pop subscription and so far I’ve only gotten one complete order. The first month I got a box with a Deadpool Mopeez in it but nothing else. I’ve been emailing the customer service department (because there’s no other to get in contact with them) for the past 3 weeks about this. I’ve started 2 different email threads and each time it gets to the point where who ever I’m talking to just starts to ignore me. Oh I also ordered an earth 2 batman that was processed before my second months subscription box was and I still have yet to receive it, I have however received my second subscription box and it was perfect. They don’t give shipping information so I have no clue if my batman is on the way. I just it’s not a repeat of my first months subscription box. I will be cancelling my subscription, I shouldn’t have to deal with this much frustration trying to get what I’ve paid for.

    • Oh my gosh I’m so happy someone else has had trouble too! The subscription never works for me!

  2. Am I the only one that used the 50% off flash sale think this weekend off ur first box. And it showed up in ur account. And was charged the full amount for the 8 Pop in a box?

  3. Just a heads up. I subscribed to the 12 pop plan and I just received 36 pops! I was also billed over $250.00. I have a message out to them to see what is going on.

    • I am such a dork. I just found their email stating they were aware of the duplicate order and had already started processing a credit. Additionally, I am to keep the extra pops as a gift! WOW! I am utterly shocked and impressed by their customer service!

      • Wow – that is awesome customer care!!! Thanks for letting us know 🙂

  4. Your collection is amazing!! I love your reviews of these boxes!

  5. I LOVED seeing your POP collection! Could you also post an itemized list of the POPs you own? I’d like to see which ones we have in common 😀 Thanks!

  6. Love seeing your POP collection! So fun!

    • Thanks!

  7. Love the idea of POP in a Box sub. It’s a bit overwhelming going through their selection to “customize” your sub. Do you have any suggestions or shortcuts/hints on how to make the process less painful. Really. really need this sub. Thanks

    • They have a “customize plan” page that will allow you to say ‘No’ to entire categories of POPs – this was really helpful for me, you can find it here:

It took a while for me to do that initial input, but it’s very necessary to avoid duplicates.

  8. I like that you open the boxes and enjoy your figures : )

  9. Is this $9.99/month for each Pop?

    • The $9.99 price is for a single POP. But, as you raise the amount of POPs in your subscription, the price per POP comes down. For example, the cost drops to $6.93 per POP when you’re getting 12 a month.

  10. I cancelled this after never receiving my box in January. Not very pleased with this overall. They offered no explanation as to what happened and whenever contacted would replay back with nothing we can do for 30 days after being charged. Be careful.

  11. YAYYYY! I knew it would be amazing (woot woot!) Your collection is truly brilliant. Now I’m thinking a) there maybe needs to be a shelf a month club & b) it would be really nice if Buckles gets a matching TMNT shirt this month.

    • Thanks! I desperately need more shelves, so I’d be a subscriber for that subscription. Liz and I were thinking it’d be great if buckles had a Splinter shirt!

  12. They also ship to Sweden and other countries.

The only problem i find with this box is that it takes time to get it. My 3 POPs was sent out 2016-02-01 and havnt got them yet and usually it takes around 5-7 days to recieve package, regular mail, from UK to Sweden.
This way its hard to know what POPs you will get and my POP buying stops as i don’t whant to get 2 copy of a pop.

Have to see if I continue on this service or not when I recieve my first box.
